Substantially larger isn’t the case for the two DMA’s. City of Raleigh and city of Charlotte.. sure. Those numbers don’t take into account for the growth of Durham, Franklin, Johnston, Orange & Moore counties which is all a part of the Raleigh DMA which is what I’m talking about
Pinto@pintoneous

@ChrisLeaTV “May overtake”. The greater Raleigh area have 60-70 pellle a day moving there. Charlotte has 150+ a day. Already substantially larger and more people a day moving there

I advocate for teacher pay increases. I DO NOT advocate those same teachers abandon their jobs on a scheduled work day to protest. And-teachers here are 14 miles from Tennessee AND Georgia. I understand. It's the method they choose I adamantly disagree agree with.
deezel@deezelme

@MargoinWNC Let’s play devils advocate. NC teacher pay is ranked 46th in the county. They have for years for an increase and yet nothing happens. You can literally drive across the border to VA and 15-25k more year. Maybe you can use your platform to shine light on NC Educational system.

Teachers dondeserve fair pay (NC average~$60k) but non-teaching staff (consultants, “other professionals,” and supervisors) have exploded ~90% since the mid-2000s while student numbers barely grew. That’s where the bureaucracy money is going, not classrooms. Shutting down school for a rally to demand more funding, instead of trimming admin bloat, uses kids as pawns & forces working parents to burn vacation days. Education should come first.

@miles_commodore The right always screamed about raising minimum wage saying it would massively increase costs to customers. That proved not true. The right is against people and for corporations.

The left has been saying repeatedly that the tariffs will lead to additional costs being passed down to us the consumers. My question is why don’t they ever apply that same logic when they are screaming about raising corporate taxes on businesses?

@Doggonitagain The irony of this post. So Cooper was bringing manufacturing to NC. Then Trumps ILLEGAL tariffs, which Americans paid for and will have to pay for again to pay back, caused them to pull out. The IQ of people is astounding.

Way to go, Roy Cooper — NC taxpayers just gifted $32.6 million to a Chinese subsidiary that’s now ghosting the state thanks to Trump’s tariffs and subsidy crackdown. Masterclass in economic foresight, Governor.
Whatley War Room@whatleywarroom

🚨🚨🚨 Roy Cooper gave more than $32 million of North Carolinians hard earned dollars as tax incentives to a solar company owned by the Chinese Communist Party. Roy Cooper doesn’t care about North Carolina. He sold out our state to the CCP to further his Green New Deal agenda.

MLB expansion?? Charlotte, NC - Good option Montreal, CN - No to Canada Oakland, CA - Just lost their team, why go back? Nashville, TN - Best option Orlando, FL - can't fill seats in the other 2 FL baseball stadiums Portland, OR - disaster of a city Raliegh, NC - Decent option, very small market Sacramento, CA - Would cost $5B to build a $750M stadium Salt Lake City, UT - Good option, small market. Vancouver, CN - No to Canada If they were going to add 2 teams, I'd probably go with Nashville and either Salt Lake City or Charlotte.
Maury Brown@BizballMaury

MLB expansion is in the not-too-distant future. Here's a detailed guide to each of the top markets. I spoke to each of the active groups for this report. There are 10 markets examined: ·      Charlotte, NC ·      Montreal, Quebec, Canada ·      Oakland, CA ·      Nashville, TN ·      Orlando, FL ·      Portland, OR ·      Raliegh, NC ·      Sacramento, CA ·      Salt Lake City, UT ·      Vancouver, BC, Canada READ THE REPORT 👇🏼 forbes.com/sites/maurybro…

@yinzer_g @lritchie_13 I don’t think you understand how that plays against Raleigh. Nashville would have more than 1/3 of the people traveling from more than 150 miles. It’s a tourist town, people need things to do during the day which baseball offers tourists

Every week, Every day, Every time I leave my driveway I'm entertained by stupid like this. Its endless, mind blowingly stupid out there in Charlotte. Charlotte needs 1,000 additional police officers, the Mecklenburg County Detention Center has 1983 inmates this morning and needs to double in size. We need to double the number of Courtrooms, Prosecutors and Judges. Yet Charlotte City Council continues to approve rezoning for multi family "projects" and low income housing errr "Affordable Housing". In five years we will double the number of low income residents that for whatever the "why" that need 4 times the law enforcement interaction. Charlotte City Council has zero plans to build the infrastructure to deal with the explosive demands for basic public services by adding more and more low income residents as upper income resident flee the city. Crazy stuff like this is just a small indication of Charlotte's continued quest towards shithole excellence.

@JoeBrunoWSOC9 What about all the more reckless drivers on the road. Just two a 2 mile trip and saw someone going reverse down Central Ave and another person just doing whatever the fuck they want. When is @CMPD going to do something?!

🚨 WTF?! Jerome Powell ADMITS he's staying on the Federal Reserve Board when his Chair term ends May 15 because of his Trump Derangement Syndrome Powell is now accusing Trump's DOJ of "BATTERING" the Fed Mr. "Institutionalist" is a massive HYPOCRITE, trampling norms! "My concern is really about the series of legal attacks on the Fed, which threaten our ability to conduct monetary policy without considering political factors." "And I want to note here, this has nothing whatever to do with verbal criticism by elected officials." "But these legal actions by the administration are unprecedented in our 113 year history and there are ongoing threats of additional such actions." "I worry that these attacks are battering the institution and putting at risk the thing that really matters to the public, which is the ability to conduct monetary policy without taking into consideration political factors." Powell abysmally WASTED funds for the renovations and is now furious Trump is investigating how it happened. Utterly insane.

Teachers that leave their job to protest should be treated as job abandonment and handled accordingly.

How do people not see the Marxism in this? ‘Support the workers’ is in direct opposition to their statement of ‘support of students.’ Fire every teacher who shows up for this. And homeschool. Get your precious children out of their clutches.
