I CONFESS that Jesus is the Christ, and that He rose from the dead, my God and my Saviour. If not He, there is no other. I remember your intentions in my Rosary

@katienotopoulos You're OK with Jeff Bezos burning your library, that you paid for with money you earned by spending years of your life working, time that you can never replace?
Now I know why he called it "kindle".
Well played sir. *slow handclap*
English

A few things:
- yes, it’s not technically bricked, just effectively
- i am aware there’s a world of DRM perverts out there who are doing unspeakable things to ereaders. I don’t care to join them
- i like a kindle bc its low effort and i don’t want to work more to get a libby book
- i don’t care about books ive already read, i dont want to reread them i want NEW ones

@iArcticFire @sharbel Companies who want to watch what you're watching, even if they don't want to watch you watching it, probably should be watched!
English

@sharbel They don’t have cameras. Watching what you watch maybe, but not watching you watch it.

Prayer to St. Rita for Impossible Situations and the Strength to Keep Going
For anyone facing a situation that feels impossible — a relationship, a diagnosis, a financial burden, a heartbreak, or a battle that seems too far gone — asking St. Rita, the saint of the impossible, to intercede with power, courage, and hope.
St. Rita,
I come to you because I’m carrying something
that feels too heavy for me alone.
You know what it is to face the impossible,
to stand in the middle of pain,
to wait for God when everything looked hopeless.
Stand with me now.
You see the situation I’m facing —
the fear,
the uncertainty,
the exhaustion,
the part of me that wonders
if anything will ever change.
St. Rita,
intercede for me.
Where the path is blocked — open a way.
Where the pain is deep — bring healing.
Where the waiting feels endless — bring strength.
Where hope feels small — breathe life into it again.
You who witnessed miracles
in the darkest moments of your life,
look at the intention I carry in my heart.
Take it into your hands
and place it before God
with the same faith that carried you through every trial.
St. Rita,
fight for me where I cannot fight.
Pray for me where I feel too tired to pray.
Stay close to me
until the impossible becomes possible
and God’s answer breaks through.
Amen.

@kevlondon4 My estimate: Likely anti-Iranian propaganda intended by those whose cognitive memory actually includes cannibalism to instigate the public to war against Iran.
Love God and neighbour and do not be deceived.
English

@snowyxq1 Inasmuch as I resist sin I help Him carry it.
So..a little, and not as much as hope I do.
Could all the labours of the Saints for all history only lift the Cross from His shoulder for only the short while St Simon of Cyrene carried it for Him?
So my best efforts are so little!

@EricLDaugh Their utilities are $50 a month and their petrol costs peanuts.
They have Christian churches and cathedrals, and even a subway station for one of them with murals of Our Lady.
Sounds like a nightmare doesn't it?
English

@ea_maclean @ClarkeMicah At ease Mr Maclean. We're not looking for respect, indeed quite the opposite. If I am giving witness for Christ with love for God and neighbour, I fully expect resistance if I am doing it effectively. I treat the ability to see it as a primary sense, which I call "gratioception".
English

@ClarkeMicah And your reaction to Catholicism is disrespectful. The "sort of Englishman you are", you find the idea of being Catholic "bizarre". The sort of Englishman you ought to be would not so express himself.
English

.@ea_maclean I have never said that about worship. All of us, save the occasional saint, want to be immoral without consequence. I do, it is true, prefer those who admit this and regret it to those who adopt it as a rule of life and urge others to do the same.
EA Maclean@ea_maclean
@ClarkeMicah You don't tell me how to worship the Almighty. You do say that anyone who doesn't merely wants to be immoral without consequence. These insults matter in a vague way when broadcast in the MSM.
English

@MPloughboy @ClarkeMicah @TimGuile I don't tend to take the wine - it was never necessary to receive under both kinds for the laity, but we can.
Due to a longstanding complaint with my nose I can't taste much, but the host tastes much as one would expect!
English

.@timguile. I am not a Roman Catholic, for reasons I have many times publicly explained, so please don’t badger me in this sectarian way . I have attended mainstream RC services out of interest, and found them as banal as modernised C of E services. The Latin Mass, for different, does not appeal to me.
T J Guile@TimGuile
@ClarkeMicah @giles_fraser Or try a Catholic Church Peter? Lots to choose from in London with amazing history, architecture and wonderful people.
English

@ShadowofEzra I'm going to estimate Trump is dead or captured, probably at some time between Pam Bondi saying they would release all the Epstein files and the time she first pretended they didn't exist (maybe just before that "release" when some insiders were photographed with white folders).
English

@MPloughboy @ClarkeMicah @TimGuile 1. "This IS My Body..."
2. His example, the meal at Emmaus, immediately after His resurrection.
3. "Unless you eat My Flesh and drink My Blood, you have no life in you."
How can any of us here have the chance to have Life in us, unless the Eucharist is His Flesh and Blood?

@ChristChurchTe1 @plishman @ClarkeMicah @TimGuile It is the representation of the same sacrifice of Christ. But this will go over your head because you are coming from a fundamentally perverted theology of Luther et Calvin.
