@Dan1wars @Premios_C_Etayo Bibliolatry is the excessive reverence for the Bible, treating the text itself as an object of worship or deifying it, rather than focusing on the God it describes.

@sowelleconomics @magattew Zimbabwe destroyed the agricultural sector and businesses which sustained the economy and chased white Zimbabweans out the country followed by many other talented people. From having a thriving economy they became a basket case failed state. Self-inflicted disaster.

The pensioners aren’t the problem, if you want me as a young person to be more angry at pensioners getting a £500 pay lift on a measly £12k after a life time of work, than those who have never worked a day getting a £6000 boost, earning more in benefits than I do working. I simply won’t have any part in it. Pensioners aren’t not the problem. My latest for the @Daily_Express express.co.uk/news/uk/219153… express.co.uk/news/uk/219153…

Are these photos of a traditionalist Bishop of the Roman Catholic Church? No, the man pictured wearing a cappa magna is the Most Rev. Idris Jones, the former Primus of the Scottish Episcopal Church in communion with Canterbury (that is, he is an Anglican prelate).

Speaking on this topic tomorrow and several more times this year in Oxfordshire. The imposition of the 1549 Prayer Book by the Crown under Edward VI provoked the West Country Rising which spilled over into Oxfordshire and the midlands. In retaliation the Crown executed priests.

Dear Roman Catholics curious about Anglicanism, I can tell you from direct experience that the sacraments are real and confer grace to help you love God and pursue, and even desire, holiness. If you want to love God more visit your local Anglican parish.

Dear Protestants curious about Catholicism, I can now tell you from direct experience that the sacraments are real and confer grace to help you love God and pursue, and even desire, holiness. If you want to love God more, come home.

“In 1695, Britain made it illegal in Ireland to teach a Catholic child to read. Purpose: to strip the Irish of the Faith. So teachers gathered children behind hedgerows; 1 kept watch for soldiers.11,000 hedge schools. 400,000 children. Prots tried to kill the Faith. They failed.

It’s strange and ironic that higher education establishments in Britain, institutions which ostensibly exist to broaden minds and deepen thought, should today speak in such a cliche-ridden, jargon-infested and deadening variety of English. Yet it’s unsurprising and rather appropriate that they should do so in order to communicate to everyone that they’re no longer interested in standards anymore. ✍️ Patrick West Article | spectator.com/article/why-ar…

Opponents of non-means tested state pension claim that those who paid tax during their working lives are entitled to this state handout. But by that logic, wealthy working age taxpayers should be allowed to claim Universal Credit. The welfare state is based on high earners paying a lot of tax while not being entitled to benefits. Why should this only apply to under the 67s?
Miriam Cates@miriam_cates

“Reform’s commitment to keep the triple lock is the final nail in the coffin for the hope of pension reform from the Right. Britain’s young people are now condemned to pay through the nose for the retirement of the wealthiest generation in history.” ✍️👇 conservativehome.com/2026/04/08/mir…

@BenGrahamUK @BruvverEccles The Crown pillaged the monasteries and parish churches, took their lands and income. We have a church linked to Parliament and the monarchy, neither will pay anything towards it but still have influence over it, at least in law.
