@EndWokeness That is the most appalling, deliberate, anti-christian presentation I've seen in years. No, really, in years. The godless have surpassed their attempt to mock God. But God will not be mocked, and Christ IS their judge.

I am sorry to hear that 27 young people have caught meningitis. It is a very nasty disease. But there are 70,000,000 people in Britain. This outbreak should not be cause for a national panic.

Iran executed the 19-year-old champion, Saleh Mohammadi for protesting the Khamenei regime. Nothing from Greta Thunberg, Gary Lineker, Charlotte Church, sectarian Muslim politicians. No hunger strikes on University campuses. Where have all the “human rights” activists gone?

The Green Party. I have a friend who's a councillor for the Green Party. She's a wonderful hard working woman. She helped householders whose houses were flooded a couple of years ago, stayed up all night helping them pump their houses out and move furniture; helped volunteers clear the river of debris; got all new planters and bins for the village square; attends all village events; opposes all development applications on farmland and green belt; gives immediate attention to any problems people are having; got new road signage. I could go on and on. She'd actually make a great MP. She cares about her village, her people and the environment. Unfortunately, she's not standing for re-election because her party, she says, has been infiltrated by lunatics and anti-Semites. Isn't that sad. ☹️

@ChristChurchTe1 @WilliamClouston @Fox_Claire For the reasons given, and linked in the article, what you're advocating in practice is for women - many of whom prove to have simply suffered a tragic miscarriage - to be dragged through a terrifying, soul-destroying investigation. The provision of abortion remains illegal.

My personal view on an important matter. On the 18th of March the House of Lords rejected the amendments tabled to remove or meaningfully limit Clause 208 of the Crime and Policing Bill, a clause which decriminalises, without restriction, a woman ending her own pregnancy at any stage up to and including full term. Abortion is a matter of considerable moral complexity on which reasonable people hold differing views. It has long been held to be a matter of individual conscience by both myself and the Social Democratic Party (SDP). However, this clause was not in any party's manifesto. It was not debated during a general election campaign. Rather, it was inserted into the sprawling Crime and Policing Bill and given just 46 minutes of debate in the House of Commons. Abortion pills may now be obtained over the internet, without prescription or medical oversight. A full-term viable pregnancy may be ended at home with no legal consequence. Further, it could be argued that this law leaves vulnerable women more exposed, not less. It reduces vestiges of the legal framework by which coercion towards abortion would have been identified and prosecuted. It also opens the door to sex-selective abortion - which some societies practice at scale throughout the world - with no mechanism remaining to challenge it. This reckless legislative change has been passed without public consent, without adequate scrutiny, and - critically - without regard for the viable human lives it leaves entirely unprotected. My personal position is clear: I regard this as an appalling and distressing decision by the Lords. To decriminalise abortion at any point in pregnancy crosses a line which, hitherto, I had considered to be well beyond the majority view of any reasonable British parliamentary body. Sadly, I was wrong. It’s an extreme decision which some argue puts into question our claim to be a civilised society. Were I in government I would push for the restoration of the legal protections for viable human life that this clause removes.

@mch2ly @ajcdeane @EnglishHeritage This looks nothing like the A303 at Stonehenge though? It's a single carriageway road on the side of a hill and no one will let it be widened because of artefacts in the ground.

We have spent £180m on plans for a tunnel under Stonehenge. The project is now scrapped. You can be for a tunnel & think spending is a good idea (even if you think the cost of planning is silly). You can be against a tunnel & think spending is a bad idea. But *nobody* can be for spending on this scale with zero result. And yet that is a peculiarly British outcome. Nobody will be reprimanded. Nobody will see their career affected. But that’s £180m of taxpayer money just wazzed up the wall. Totally without repercussions. Multiply this by airport expansions & train route plans and Thames crossings and power stations and other examples you can think of yourself, and… soon you’re talking serious money.

@adhib @WilliamClouston @Fox_Claire Previously it was illegal for a woman to abort her baby at home after a certain time. Now it is always legal for her to do it, no matter what the time. That's legalisation of abortion up to birth - and they'll soon expand the scope, using 'compassion' as an excuse.

For myself, I'm persuaded by the arguments put forward in both Houses, for example by the Baroness @Fox_Claire, that §208 does not, in fact, decriminalise the provision of abortion services after 24 weeks. It only takes the woman herself out of the frame, for practical reasons - as we might choose to do, for an example, if we were to move how we police prostitution onto the basis of the Nordic Model. Roughly as summarised by the Humanists, 👇🏼 below. All bar one of the investigations and arrests we've seen over the last five years make for a track record of insensitivity and bureaucratic overreach that I would hope to be deeply unpalatable to all of us. humanists.uk/2026/03/19/lor…

@WilliamClouston Agreed, it is distressing, and dangerous. Next step they'll be saying that out of compassion for the mother (not the baby) they should be able to have abortions up to birth in hospital - using a death somewhere as excuse. Then you'll see the true intent of Creasy and Antoniazzi.

@KingBobIIV Her obvious next step is to claim out of 'compassion' for the mother she should be allowed to kill her unborn child under medical supervision. It's obvious that this is where she is headed, and where, having begun, the current legislators will allow her and Antoniazzi to take it

Fabian Labour MP, Stella Creasy was the predominant architect to push through legalising abortions, right until the moment of birth, for any reason. She was also the primary advocate for state sanctioned murder for elderly and disabled. Here are some quotes from Fabian founders: Sidney Webb wrote in 1907: “No consistent eugenist can be a ‘laisser-faire’ individualist… he must interfere, interfere, interfere!” And more bluntly, on reproduction: “The whole of the unskilled labourers… are now tending to multiply… and to transmit their incapacity to their children.” George Bernard Shaw, 1910: “We should find ourselves committed to kill a good many people who are not fit to live.” And on reproduction / social worth: “The right to live… is conditional.” Beatrice Webb wrote in her diary (early 1900s): “The multiplication of the feeble-minded, the diseased and the incapable is a terrible danger to the race.” And elsewhere: “No eugenicist can doubt that the… poor… are reproducing too fast.” H. G. Wells wrote in Anticipations (1901): “The swarms of black and brown… and dirty-white people… will have to go.” And more directly tied to class: “The irresponsible and unproductive elements of the population… will have to be eliminated.” Here she is with her baby. She thinks her baby matters more than your babies, because you're just poor working class scum that need eliminating.

So you will be able to kill a baby the day before it is to be born with no consequences. And the idea that it will always be a woman choosing this rather than being pressed to do it is nonsense.
Right To Life UK@RightToLifeUK

Tonight’s vote means there will be no legal deterrent against a woman inducing her own abortion right up to full-term for any reason, including sex-selective abortions. A civilised society does not permit abortion up to birth. Only 1% of the public support it. 3/
