@jamonholmgren Very interesting, thanks for the detailed sharing of your workflow. Couple questions: 1. How do you test mobile apps on the night shift? 2. How do you handle permissions, so agent doesn't go haywire, but you don't have to be there babysitting and giving consent to run a cmd?

My current agentic workflow is about 5x faster, better quality, I understand the system better, and I’m having fun again. My previous workflows have left me exhausted, overwhelmed, and feeling out of touch with the systems I was building. They also degraded quality too much. This is way better. I’m not ready to describe in detail. It’s still evolving a bit. But I’ll give you a high level here. I call this the Night Shift workflow.

@reactiive_ Yeah hard to fit all the info to a tweet 😅We use flashlist v2 as scroll component and I am using renderScrollComponent for it and it works on iOS. AI is saying that it works ios due to the delay it has, which isn't in android, and wants to patch package to add similar delay!

@reactiive_ Hey just gave pressto a try - we have the typical RN issue of highlight flicker when trying to scroll items that have onPress actions. iOS works, but not Android - there I still see the opacity transition. Is it a known limitation (AI claims so!) or a bug on our end?

30 minutes nap in the middle of the day: absolutely destroyed. Needs 3 more hours or zombie for the rest of the day. Waking up 30 minutes into the sleep at night: fully recharged. Back to sleep? What sleep? Body is ready to start the day.

@jamonholmgren This has been my go to lately, sonnet 4.5 seems capable of most tasks for me, but there have been some that required Opus 4.5. But it uses tokens like crazy 😅

For reducing token usage, is Sonnet 4.5 a good choice for normal coding, and then switch to Opus 4.5 when Sonnet gets it wrong?

Ajattelin tehdä videon, jossa seuraan omaa rahankäyttöäni 30pv ajan. Ja tietenkin tän tarttis olla mahd. helppoa, jotta seuraaminen ei unohdu tai tunnu liian haastavalta. Nykypäivänä ei tartte mennä appstoreen ja etsiä jotain "ilmaista" äppiä, joka sit haluaakin rahaa lopulta. Vaan voi suunnata Google AI Studioon ja rakentaa juuri julkaistun Gemini 3:n avulla itselle oman web sovelluksen 😁😁 Seuraamisen lisäksi data on helposti tarkasteltavissa jälkikäteen, jonka lisäksi voi kysyä tekoälyltä tiivistelmää omasta kulutuksesta jne. Ei montaa minuuttia mennyt, kun oli jo toimiva sovellus kattavilla ominaisuuksilla. Ja tietty ohjeet miten tän saa käyttöönsä helposti.

Mobile UX question. If you have a button on one bottom tab that links to a screen typically found on another bottom tab, what is the proper way to handle presw? - switch tabs to show it in that tab - show the screen in the same tab - show the screen in modal on top of tabs ?

@mihinsaastais Joo hyviä pointteja Teslan ja sijoituskulmalts katsottuna. Pettymys on enemmän mitä olisin kaivannut ja mitä kuvittelen että moni muukin toivoi. Uskon että to modelle olisi oikeasti ollut paljon isompi kysyntä. Riisuttu malli Ystä olisi ollut tehtävissä jo paljon aikaisemminkin.

Sinänsä ymmärrän pettymyksen ja moni varmasti odottikin kokonaan uutta mallia. Mutta jos/kun Teslan fokuksena nyt on paljon enemmän toi Robotaxi-puoli ja autonominen tulevaisuus, niin tää vaikuttaa paremmalta lähestymistavalta. Eikä tää enää uutta tietoa oo, kun Musk itse viime osaripuhelussa mainitsi, että halvempi malli ei tuu olemaan mitään täysin uutta. Joten sijoittajien pettymykset on osakkeessa nähty jo aiemmin 😅 MUTTA koska tää on "vaan" riisuttu versio Model Y:stä, on tän tuotannon aloittaminen todella paljon uutta nopeampaa, sekä tehokkaampaa. Ja koska tätä voidaan tuottaa samoilla linjastoilla kuin aiempia malleja, tää jättää enemmän resursseja keskittyä muihin asioihin (kuten Robotaxi, Optimus jne.) Eli saadaan halvempi malli ilman, että yhtiön tarvitsee kääntää fokustaan liian isosti pois tulevista yhtiön megatrendeistä.

Jotain uutta tulossa huomenna 🤔
