1 week ago today I had just had the worst trading day of my mentions journey on Kalshi: -$7k on a single trump rally. It was after I had just gone from 1-25k in 2 weeks and I had no idea how long It would take to bounce back. $7k is a lot to make back in mentions with only 17k in the port. I stayed disciplined, didn't rage trade and locked tf in harder than ever. In the first week of March we made $12k not including the $2.3k we made today putting us at a new portfolio high of $30k! My goal is to hit $50k this month and we are well on our way. Most importantly Ive posted most of the trades that have occurred this week and have been getting blown up in the dms by you guys who have been killing it this week: especially those crazy 2/2 lottos on trumps messi remarks! WE ARE ALSO HIT 1K FOLLOWERS ON X! Love y'all. WAGMI.

Yup. Sportsbooks are extremely predatory. Their analytics & marketing are designed around maximizing two things: deposits and losses. It is an adversarial relationship with their own customers. The things I've heard about how they use customer data is depressing, bleak stuff. Reminds me of the payday loan industry. A peer-to-peer exchange has a totally different set of incentives. They are trying to maximize attention, importance, fun, longevity, fairness, etc. All theoretically positive things (obv not always positive for every player, but it is theoretically not at all predatory). Tbc, prediction markets have a lot to work on and improve, but the 'operating system' of a neutral marketplace is just so much better for everyone.

I made $403K profit trading prediction markets in February. I had 2 major opportunities to size up (Superbowl and SOTU) and was rewarded with $100K days for both. Not a flawless month like January, I lost many high conviction bets, took my biggest loss ever ($30K) and had my first red week. But I quadrupled my volume, doubled my profit month over month, and diversified to other categories. I'm very happy with my performance overall, I know there won't be a month as ripe with opportunities as this one for a while. Going to temper my expectations and focus on the $1M milestone for March instead of trying to outperform February.
