Let’s say she has 5 employees working. That’s $100 an hour she has to make on waffles just to pay for staff. Let’s say it’s open for 16 hours, two shifts of 5 people. Everyday, that’s $1600. That’s $11,200 a week. $44,800 a month. Just on employees. Selling waffles. That’s not factoring in rent, product, need for profit, insurance, utilities, taxes, etc. Small businesses are dead with this scheme.

We established a state-level voting rights preclearance process for jurisdictions that have previously violated voting rights laws. We amended who can challenge a voter’s registration. We clarified the statute that information like a voter’s driver’s license number, Social Security number, or full birth date is confidential, and made unauthorized disclosure of private voter information a class C felony.  We strengthened coordination between elections offices and federally recognized Tribes. And we strengthened the Washington Voting Rights Act by clarifying how voting rights violations are addressed and resolved.
