Iran has lost near 5000 people so far and its military resources heavily degraded. But Prof Robert Pepe says it is stronger now then when the war started. How? Because Iran now controls Gulf of Hormuz which it didn’t do till the US- Israeli attack.Israel has also paid a heavy price in this war. We are now getting concerned. Netanyahu certainly miscalculated and grossly underestimated Miltary power and will of Iran. Underestimating your enemy is a cardinal sin in war. Haifa refinery has taken a big hit. 2 days back Dimona residential complex and Arak towns were hit badly . Media reports indicate 5000 citizens wounded That is terrible for a state where the population is so small. Netanyahu said it was the worst day of his life.Yesterday the Dimona facilty with the nuclear reactor, Plutonium enrichment facility and weapons fabricating facility was targeted. Obviously there are no israeli reports on what was hit. There wont be . Iran claims it was in retaliation for Natanz and Busheher. Will Trump dump Israel and call a unilateral cease fire? Will Netanyahu go it alone?Time for this complete madness to END

@DrEliDavid This propagandist is directly confronting serious peace efforts by the US President, wearing a veil of frivolous humor. This is the level of temperament of these propagandists. Time to call them out. @communitynotes @X

The US President said talks are underway and there is a ceasefire. You are blatantly violating it. That leaves you with no standing or international support. The ongoing war has enormous international consequences, in case you didn't yet figure it out. @narendramodi @EmmanuelMacron @Keir_Starmer @POTUS @AlboMP

Earlier today I spoke with our friend President Trump. President Trump believes there is an opportunity to leverage the tremendous achievements we have reached alongside the US military to realize the goals of the war through an agreement that will safeguard our vital interests.

🚨🇮🇷🇺🇸 Netanyahu says Trump told him the war's objectives can be achieved through a deal rather than more bombing. Netanyahu's response was to say Israel will protect its vital interests "in any scenario" ... which sounds like: we heard you, and we're not necessarily doing what you said. The alliance is intact. The alignment is another question. @FaytuksNetwork
Mario Nawfal@MarioNawfal

🚨🇮🇷🇺🇸 While Trump was talking peace on Truth Social, the Pentagon was apparently doing something else entirely. They are reportedly sending thousands more Marines, Sailors and elements of the 82nd Airborne to the Middle East, with zero change to those plans despite the announcement. Either the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing, or the right hand is very deliberately keeping its options open. CBS News, @sentdefender

The Geneva Conventions — reinforced by their Additional Protocol I — explicitly prohibit attacks on objects indispensable to the survival of the civilian population. Where electrical plants are exclusively for civilian use and underpin basic needs, including powering hospitals, water systems and sanitation, their deliberate destruction is unlawful. Trump’s threat to “obliterate” Iran’s electrical grid — now merely postponed — therefore underscores his disregard of international law. But his threatened action is not without precedent. During the 1991 Gulf War (Operation Desert Storm), the U.S. systematically destroyed much of Iraq’s electricity-generating capacity. The consequences were devastating. Without power, water purification systems failed, refrigeration collapsed, hospitals faltered and the broader civilian infrastructure unraveled. The result was a surge in waterborne diseases like cholera, typhoid and gastroenteritis and a sharp rise in infant mortality. Later studies by UN agencies and others reached a stark conclusion: the destruction of Iraq’s power grid operated, in effect, as a biological weapon in slow motion.

Today is my birthday. I'm now 63, and I was born in '63. That typically only happens once in a lifetime. However, if AI can extend human lifespans, maybe it will happen twice. I just have to live to be 163!

President Trump just slammed @joekent16jan19 Joe Kent before taking off for Memphis, saying, “I’m not a fan of the guy.” Trump said Kent always agreed with him that Iran is a threat, and has been for the last 47 years… and then he said Kent’s social media posts randomly changed. Trump says he wanted to be nice to Kent when he lost his congressional races and after his wife died… so he gave him a job in the White House as Director of the National Counterterrorism Center. Trump says he regrets being nice to Joe Kent, because Kent never appreciated it and repaid Trump’s kindness with disloyalty and disrespect.
Loomer Unleashed@LoomerUnleashed

Joe Kent resigned as Director of the National Counterterrorism Center, citing President Trump’s Iran strikes as the reason. It’s important to note that Kent’s wife used to work for Max Blumenthal, which makes many wonder if Kent’s wife forced him to resign.

"Oman is working intensively to put in place safe passage arrangements for the Strait of Hormuz." Very important statement from Oman's foreign minister, who has been mediating between the U.S. and Iran and who earlier said publicly that Washington launched the war just when a diplomatic deal with Tehran was within Trump's grasp. x.com/badralbusaidi/…
