As always, in the EU the new Macbook Neo costs €699 and not $599. Oh and it comes with no charger in the box 🙂🙃🙂🙃🙂🙃

The worst part is that this kind of salary is effectively unreachable for 99% of European software engineers. If they're lucky, they get to negotiate up to €80k at the end of their career. Unlikely. They're extremely competent. Capable. Impactful. But they end up making €40k.

I can’t tell you how personal this feels right now. I just launched my first watch model and somehow, 10 pieces sold out immediately. Being a law-abiding citizen, I started researching how to open a company, and in my country, we have something called a “paušalni obrt”, which loosely correlates to a one-person business that deals with a “craft” of sorts, perfect for me, up to 60000€ per year Today, I literally realized that I cannot open that “obrt” because I am not a licensed watchmaker, so I have to open a company, where I need start-up capital and pay way more in taxes. Also, you can’t even start a company without first being unemployed for a month, essentially not having the healthcare that my parents have been paying for 40+ years with their 50%-taxed paychecks. When a gypsy gets free healthcare simply on merit. The EU is so disappointing at times.
