Tamils and Malayalis pay taxes. Far more than most states in India. Building a metro in Coimbatore and Trivandrum is not BJParty charity. It’s literally what those cities deserve for their needs. How about no infra, no taxes, no remittances. Let’s see where Delhi goes.

It also reduces the prestige of classical dance when you start doing it in random places instead of an Institute of Performing Arts.

I believe our dance traditions are elegant, sophisticated, and worthy of preservation. My criticism is contexts in which we choose to showcase them. There is a belief that whenever foreign guests arrive, most appropriate way to introduce them to Indian culture is through dance.
