You know what else is regressive? The term "guard bhaiyya." Terms like bhaiyya and didi are exclusively used by privileged people for working class people. Nobody says startup founder bhaiyya or manager didi or angel investor didi or professor bhaiyya. It is always guard bhaiyya, auto bhaiyya and beauty parlor didi.

A highly geopolitically uneducated comment. The Indo- Pacific concept linked the security of the Pacific Ocean to the Indian Ocean. Chinese maritime expansionism in the western Pacific and Japan’s concerns underlay this concept. The Quad provided the structure. Trump in his first term renamed the US Pacific Command as the US Indo- Pacific command to convey a strategic message. Now he has reverted to the original name of the Command, delinking conceptually the security of the Pacific Ocean from the Indian Ocean. It is natural to analyse the strategic thought behind this change. China has opposed both the Indo- Pacific concept and the Quad. China will seek to understand the geopolitical implication of this change as much as Japan and Australia. Those out of depth on such matters should cease meaningless pontifications. This is not an issue of fashion accessories.

Remarkable that a renaming would send some country s assessment of its relevance even prestige into a tailspin. Terrible place to be in for your national pride & relevance to be linked to the U.S. renaming its command to its original name. Would not wish this mindset on a neighbour. We should all resist the temptation of falling victim to seeking relevance or importance through ‘framing’ and ‘narrative shaping’ or playing on fear of emerging rivals. Perhaps better to let our relevance or importance be defined by the choices we make. Truly hope that this region will see a time when it rids itself of deniers of geography.

BBC is also highlighting, why a country of 1.4 billion is not in the #WorldCup? Indian 🇮🇳 football also gets the global attention during the #FIFAWorldCup and it is an obvious question that comes, why two most populated countries are not part of the World Cup. China 🇨🇳 has a bright chance to qualify for the 2030 World Cup, considering their work with youth sides and performances of U23 and U20. But the same is not the case with the 1.4 billion of us, we have a long road ahead and the irony is that we have not yet sure about the route itself since the google map for the destination World Cup is not yet known.
