Big bang theory seems silly: The mass expanding from a point would collapse within a billion years unless particles with rest mass could travel at light speed.

@Dogwaterdayz @dnwiebe @MsAngieV82 Sure. But - rather routinely - I look up the details of what someone reported on (if I have sufficient access to the underlying information) and it's usually different from what was reported in some way.

Are you fucking slow? Elon and his companies receive BILLIONS of subsidies from the U.S. Government. That is taxpayer money. And Elon went in with DOGE and gutted or eliminated the very government agencies that were investigating him. That is what I mean when I say we helped him to be a trillionaire. Stop sucking his dick long enough to come up for air and breathe. The lack of oxygen is frying your brain.

@MsAngieV82 Ya that free internet from space satellites all over the world was nothing....... Some of ya'll are just eaten up with jealousy and stupidity, and that is a lethal cocktail.

@Dogwaterdayz @dnwiebe @MsAngieV82 Then you should assume that everyone responding to you was reading something different from what you wrote, and that you're reading something different from what they wrote. Because a billionaire set up and a billionaire operates the messaging system.

@MsAngieV82 He went in with DOGE and tried to eliminate the very subsidies he was receiving, after blasting them repeatedly in media interviews as being stupid and wasteful. But Congress refused to pass almost all of the DOGE cuts, so he's still getting the subsidies. Not his fault.

@UnixToolTip Nah... you can't enforce readability in a language spec. For example can obfuscate code in most languages using obscure labels. Perhaps limiting yourself to the characters O 0 1 l I ...

Was reading up on dc and a source said one of its advantages is its use in obfuscated code competitions. If a language is good for writing obfuscated code, maybe that’s a bad sign.

Interview with Elon Musk from 2012: " My proceeds from PayPal after tax were about $180M, $100M of that went into SpaceX, $70M into Tesla, and $10M into SolarCity and I literally had to borrow money for rent."

Berkeley math professor: “Today, the more successful a public high school is at preparing its students, the lower its graduates' chances of getting into top UC campuses like Berkeley and San Diego.” Berkeley admitted 45% of applicants from a high school where nearly 94% of “students failed to meet the state standards in mathematics.” It admitted less than 14% of applicants from a school where “nearly 100 percent of its students in AP Calculus BC pass the national exam with a perfect score of 5.”

California universities dropped the SAT to help low-income and minority students. The policy is doing the opposite, writes Svetlana Jitomirskaya, a professor of mathematics at UC Berkeley. thefp.com/p/bring-back-t…

“Bernie, your socialism would never allow a SpaceX to be built.” Hey Bill, who got man to the moon? Was it the government or the private sector?
Bill Ackman@BillAckman

.@BernieSanders , it is a time to celebrate. @elonmusk has created enormous value for society by building @SpaceX, driving down the cost of rocket launches and creating a global satellite communication network that has brought high speed, low-cost internet and communication access to hundreds of millions and eventually billions of people along with critical advantages for our military and our nation’s defense. SpaceX and its technologies will cause an acceleration in the growth of wages and wealth creation globally, including in some of the poorest communities in the U.S. and around the world. Access to low-cost, high speed communications everywhere will allow children around the world to be educated, families to build businesses, and life-saving medical knowledge and care to be available everywhere. SpaceX will materially bring down the cost of compute, advancing AI and humanity. Meanwhile, 4,000 SpaceX employees yesterday became millionaires, including hourly wage employees who you claim you are trying to help. The Elon Musks of the world drive growth, global GDP, and provide access to goods and services at lower cost that would otherwise not exist. Elon’s nominal trillionaire status is due to his ownership of SpaceX, Tesla, Neuralink, the Boring Company and his other initiatives that have brought new technologies that improve our everyday lives. Elon is not sitting on a trillion dollar pile of cash, jewelry and gold. He is using his controlling stakes in his companies to advance mankind. Elon’s companies don’t pay dividends. They reinvest all of their capital to accelerate innovation and value creation. Elon is working 24/7 for all of us. He deserves respect and appreciation, not smears. Bernie, your socialism would never allow a SpaceX to be built. Socialism has only proven to impoverish mankind and lead to death and destruction. We need to create the conditions for more SpaceXs to be built, not attack the great entrepreneurs who are helping to advance our country.

The Ukraine biolab story has completed its journey: "Conspiracy theory" → "Russian disinformation" → "Fact-checked" → Official government disclosure. For years, anyone asking questions was smeared and censored. Now the intelligence community itself acknowledges a vast US-funded biolab network.

@PattersonSonny @BuenoForMiami @jpclemens There were other health benefits, including personal benefits (like reduced utility risk). That said, people do cut off body parts, that describes a fair amount of surgery (and dentistry).

@raudelmil @BuenoForMiami @jpclemens You don't cut off body parts for some distant, nebulous statistical effect that perhaps will have some causal relationship to some undesirable effect for somebody else, maybe someday under the right circumstances.

I used to think the average person had common sense. Then I started seeing people argue that kids can’t consent to “gender-affirming care” because they’re too young to make permanent decisions about their bodies. And I thought, “Cool, so you’re against circumcision too, right?” That’s when I discovered that applying the same principle in a different context is apparently an impossible task for a shocking number of people. So let me get this straight: if a kid wants something done to their body, they’re too young to consent. But if you want something done to their body, suddenly consent isn’t important? Sooo… you can chop up your kid how you want, but not how they want? How about we stop chopping up kids altogether? It’s a pretty simple rule: don’t permanently alter a child’s genitals unless there’s a genuine medical necessity. The fact that you like a particular form of mutilation doesn’t magically make it not mutilation.

Spot on. Putin is the Empire’s perfect Goldstein... The manufactured bogeyman to channel hate and justify endless war spending. The real irony is that he’s the relative moderate trying to manage a collapsing unipolar order without total chaos. The loudest Putin-haters have never opened an independent source in their lives. They parrot the daily Two Minutes Hate from the same corporate media that’s lied them into every war.
David Tetzlaff@davidtetzlaff20

Putin is the globalist oligarch’s version of a Orwellian “Goldstein”. In “1984” Goldstein is a scapegoat & a way to entrap rebels. For globalists Putin serves as a scapegoat & a target to focus hatred & war psychosis for the sake of expanding the globalists geopolitical hegemony.
