If they care, you won't have to beg for their attention. Real connections don't need reminders, they just flow. If someone keeps forgetting u, it's not by accident. Value yourself enough to walk away from one-sided energy. You deserve effort, not excuses.

This feels unfair to #JKSSB #aspirants... Students ne defined pattern ke according smart work + hard work dono kiya, but paper unexpectedly tough aur off-track tha… kuch questions kaafi #betuke bhi lage. Bachon ki demand simple hai paper tough ho sakta hai, lekin jo time diya hai usme complete ho jaana chahiye… warna time duration badhaya jaana chahiye. Balance hona zaroori hai... Are you recruiting #JuniorAssistants ya IAS level test le rahe ho? Aisi unpredictability genuine candidates ko hurt karti hai... #JKSSB #Juniorassistant #ExamFeedback

Here, most college hostels in India are suddenly struggling to get cylinders, but the government keeps pushing its propaganda that everything is fine and there is no shortage. If that’s true, why aren’t hostels getting LPG? @PIB_India @PetroleumMin
PIB Fact Check@PIBFactCheck

A video is circulating on the internet claiming that the students at Miranda House are protesting against the hostel authorities regarding food shortage due to LPG crisis amid the West Asia War. #PIBFactCheck: ❌ The claim is MISLEADING. ✅ There is no LPG crisis in the college premises. The hostel kitchen has PNG connection. 👉🏼 The students were protesting regarding the quality of food in the hostel mess. ⚠️ Always verify information from official and credible sources before sharing. 🛑 Help STOP misinformation If you come across such misleading or manipulated content, report it immediately: 📲 WhatsApp: +91 8799711259 📩 Email: factcheck@pib.gov.in @DDNewslive @MIB_India @airnewsalerts

Where are the Kashmiris in this list? Where is the General Category? Out of 41 selections only 15 in Open Merit and even there Kashmiris seem invisible. Merit is being sidelined again? Please save our tribe. @OMSA_JK #SaveOM

While I was drafting the post quoted below, JKPSC declared the results of the J&K Judicial Services Examination. Out of 41 candidates selected for appointment as Civil Judges, only 15 fell in the Unreserved category. Among those 15 shortlisted candidates, I cannot say with certainty how many belong to the Kashmir division. Either way, across categories, Jammu division appears to have secured the larger share of the pie.

As per a report published in @GreaterKashmir today, there are over 1,000 posts of doctors lying vacant in J&K. Of these vacancies, the Kashmir division accounts for 797 (74%), while 288 (26%) vacancies are shown in the Jammu division. The same report states that 480 Medical Officer posts have been referred to JKPSC for direct recruitment. Of these 480 posts, only 192 (40%) fall under the Open Merit category. In a recent reply to JKPC Chief and MLA @sajadlone, the government stated that roughly 12 lakh reservation certificates have been issued in J&K (period not specified). Of these nearly 12 lakh certificates, only 1.65 lakh (less than 15%) were issued in the Kashmir division, while over 10 lakh (around 85%) were issued in the Jammu division. The net effect, therefore, is that the region (Kashmir) accounting for nearly 70% of the vacancies will realistically have open access to only about 40% of the seats, while the region with roughly 30% of the vacancies and 80% reservation share (Jammu) will compete across 100% of seats. In effect, not only will the Jammu division secure its proportional share of seats, it will also significantly compete for and secure vacancies arising in the Kashmir division. A similar pattern was recently observed in the Judicial Services Examination, where only a thin share of seats were secured by aspirants from the Kashmir division. How does your conscience allow you to perpetuate this imbalance against your own people, CM @OmarAbdullah and Minister @sakinaitoo? Or do Kashmiris and their aspirations mean nothing to the National Conference and its leadership?

When Chief Minister Omar Abdullah tells the people of Jammu and Kashmir that smart meters are necessary, that electricity theft must stop and that every unit consumed must be paid for; message is clear: Discipline, Accountability and Reform. He has publicly stated that even his own relatives have installed smart meters and are paying their dues without complaint. The signal was unmistakable that reform begins at home and I am sure, CM is sincerely trying to reform the system. But then came Order No. CEJ/TS/3770-82 dated January 7, 2026 issued by Chief Engineer (Distribution) of Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (JPDCL). A winter load curtailment schedule. Feeders categorized into A, B, and C groups based on AT&C losses. And suddenly, the official residence of the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Wazarat Road in Jammu appears in the C category; the very category reserved for feeders where Aggregate Technical and Commercial Losses exceed 40 percent, electricity theft is rampant, hooking persists, smart meters face resistance and consumers default on dues. This is not a social media rumour. It is part of an official feeder-wise schedule. The same C category includes the Deputy Commissioner’s office, the Civil Secretariat, the New Secretariat, Company Bagh, Super Specialty Hospital, Divisional Commissioner’s Office and office of the Financial Commissioner (Revenue). Let that sink in. If the government’s own classification is to be taken at face value, some of the most powerful offices in Jammu are connected to feeders categorized for high commercial losses and systemic violations. So, the questions are unavoidable. Are electricity dues pending in these locations? Are smart meters not installed? Are losses genuinely above 40 percent? Or was this classification an administrative blunder of staggering proportions? Because if this categorization is correct, it means the reform narrative being sold to the common citizen stands on shaky ground. For months, ordinary neighbourhoods have been lectured. FIRs have been registered. Hooking has been criminalised aggressively. Smart meters have been installed amid resistance. Citizens have been told that if they want uninterrupted power, they must pay. But reform cannot be selective. Accountability cannot flow in only one direction: from the bottom upward. If feeders serving the Chief Minister’s residence and key government offices genuinely suffer from over 40 percent AT&C losses, then the public deserves transparency. What are the exact loss figures? How much revenue is pending? Is curtailment actually being enforced there? And Are these offices paying bills on time? And if, on the other hand, this inclusion was a clerical or technical error, then it reflects something equally troubling; a power utility issuing sweeping curtailment schedules without precision. Either scenario demands explanation. Electricity reform in Jammu and Kashmir is a sensitive and politically charged process. The government has staked its credibility on smart metering, loss reduction and financial discipline. Public cooperation depends on trust. And trust depends on transparency. When the Power Minister’s own official residence appears on a feeder classified for high losses and non-payment, silence is not an option. This is not about targeting individuals. It is about institutional credibility. If reform is real, it must be uniform. If curtailment is justified, it must be enforced equally. If losses are high, the data must be made public. The people of Jammu and Kashmir are being asked to change decades-old habits. They are being asked to pay, to comply, to adapt. The least they deserve is clarity. JPDCL must explain. Power Corporation must clarify. And the government must ensure that reform does not become rhetoric. Because when state demands accountability from its citizens, it must first withstand accountability itself.

Appreciation tweet for @AshwiniVaishnaw sir, @RailMinIndia @IRCTCofficial 👏👏 Armed with the latest laptop, high-speed Wi-Fi, and an Aadhaar-verified IRCTC account, I logged in at 9:55 AM today to book a Tatkal 2A ticket on Train 12417. At exactly 10:00 AM, I clicked “Book Now.” IRCTC responded: “Booking has yet not started” & 24 Seats available. I kept trying every 30 seconds — 10:01, 10:02, 10:03… all the way till 10:10 AM - Same message, No booking. Then suddenly at 10:11 AM, the system woke up, and the availability showed WL-3. Remarkable efficiency. The booking window “had not started”, yet tickets were already gone. 😂🤣 If this is digital empowerment, it’s truly next level. Congratulations on building a system where time, preparation, and rules seem irrelevant, but waitlists appear with perfect punctuality. 👏👏

In reply to my RTI application, Tehsildar Beerwah stated that five demolition drives were conducted during the last year. No DEMOLITION ORDER is available on record. Shops the sole source of livelihood for several people were demolished for the construction of a craft centre.

@vishesh_jk @danishazaam012 Agreed in principle. While MVD promotes counselling, the reality on the ground with Traffic Police is different, where fines are more common than counselling.

@danishazaam012 No this is not a fact. MVD believes in correction and many people are not fined but counselled. We are not believers in fines we are believers in making our roads safe.

Commissioner sahab it’s great that you’ve tweeted about it, and I’m sure MLA got your message. But the real question is will a fine be imposed on him for the traffic violation? It seems like fines are only for common people, while MLAs get away with just tweet? This isn’t fair.
Vishesh Mahajan@vishesh_jk

My request to Hon’ble MLA that as Public Representative and local icon he shld help us in ensuring Road Safety Practises. I am sure your contribution in this field will offer safer roads and inspire youngsters. I am sure all the Hon’ble MsLA shall help us in making JK a safe place to drive and ride.
