If you have #T1Diabetes
And are on a stand-alone #InsulinPump along with any #CGM as part of your care funded by the #NHS?
You can be upgraded (if you so wish) to a #ClosedLoop system - pretty much ASAP
As it's cost neutral/cost saving to local system.

@GBDocInfo I'm currently not changing until every last drop is used as there are shortages of the insulin I'm on, and I'm worried bout running out 🙁. Previously I was strict with changing every 3 days, or 2 when I was on FIASP.

@GBDocInfo Second time this year I've not been able to get humalog vials. The pharmacy did not know when they would come in, so it's back to the GP for a new prescription.

Calling all #Diabetics. #GPDoc #TypeOne I can not get insulin for love nor money. #Fiasp is completely unavailable unless in a cartridge, which I've never used before. #Novorapid nowhere to be found. My doctors have been beyond useless. What do I do, I'm all out from tomorrow.

@WhatNikiDidNext I emailed Ryan air, they said I did not need to notify them but could have an additional back for medical kit. It makes a big difference if you are flying with just a small cabin sized suitcase.

@typeonederful92 I have found the switch to HCL tough going. My blood sugars are better but I think I'm checking things even more than I used to, and finding it utterly exhausting.

So my sugars on closed loop still aren't great and my dsn wants to refer me to a larger centre for diabetes like Salford. Feel like I'm failing at diabetes somehow. I'm an inch away from full blown burnout. I'll give it a shot as have nothing to lose. Anyone been there? #gbdoc

@DiabeticDadUK The same for me. I didn't bolus for lunch today as I was walking lots. Slight correction by HCL.

Does walking (maybe at a good pace if your hound is dragging you) drop your BG?
Lunch was around 45g carbs. I didn't bolus. You can see the incline on the graph after midday. After that, 8k steps with HCL doing its thing. It did react to the ↗️ with a tiny bolus. Still... 😯

@DiabeticDadUK It took 3 conversations with the GP, 2 with the diabetic clinic and numerous calls to the pharmacy to get a new prescription too. Very time consuming and stressful.

@DiabeticDadUK I've had to change from Humalog to novarapid. I was told it was a 1 to 1 swap but it is not acting with the same speed so my HCl is all over the place.
