Queens Drive remains closed due to an ongoing fire in the open at Arthur’s Seat. Emergency services remain in attendance, and the public should continue to avoid the area and surrounding area. Residents in the local area should keep windows and doors closed.

We the licenced STLs will have to collect this on behalf of gov. The vast majority of STLs wont because they are operating unlicenced . Nothing is being done about this by @Edinburgh_CC. How do you tax visitors staying in unregistered properties?

A section of west Princes Street is closed to vehicles following last week’s fire, which is causing transport disruption. Buses are diverted and trams are not running between Princes Street, Leith and Newhaven. Trains are running as normal and stopping at Waverley and Haymarket.

Remember Shandwick Place is closed today from 11am – 7pm to allow people going to the rugby at Murrayfield to safely get on and off trams. Buses and bikes are diverted along Atholl Crecent and Coates Crecent. Plan ahead edinburgh.gov.uk/planyourjourney

Princes Street is expected to remain closed for the foreseeable future following a fire at the former Debenhams building in the early hours of 9 July. Work is continuing to make the building safe while ensuring its historic features are preserved.
