@burakeregar @vanschneider Many of the professionals worth working with will take some kind of up front deposit for new clients.

@vanschneider yeah network is always my go-to approach but unfortunately we couldn't find anyone available. will be taking extra care going forward. perhaps no upfront payment might be the safest bet

We hired the most popular “design guy” on X for $5k/month. He spent a week on our logo. Our company name has 4 letters and he made a typo in it. Simple iterations took days and didn’t improve at all. We cancelled immediately. That one logo (still not sure we’ll use) cost us $1,250. I can’t see him finishing the entire app in one month. What a waste of time and money.

After generating $250K (last 2 months) I built a playbook for @lovable apps—and I’m giving it away. In just two months, we cracked the code to building apps with AI. I’ve distilled everything we learned into this single document. Comment "Build" and drop a follow. I’ll DM it to you. P.S. This will likely blow up, so give me some time to reply.

@OliMarshall85 @C20Society @PlanningShit @createstreets I live near here. The old building was nothing special (frankly a bit hideous) – the new one seems like it's going to be an improvement. I'm seeing street level retail and a new station access on the plan. What am I missing?

Angel Square Islington, before and after. The previous building wasn’t perfect, but with upgrading and an activated street frontage, it had more to give.

@CCriadoPerez hiya! I know an awesome female scuba diver who I think would be interested in the “Invisible Divers" study - but the link in the email is broken. 🆘

@broadwaybabyto I’m sorry but you are still going to have to make yourself (yes I said make yourself) understand that not all men, are like this. If not, stop going public with your issues at the risk of engaging with men, all of whom are like this! It’s a thought that is making you irrational

Years ago - I was dating a guy I thought had real long term potential. It was the 1st relationship I had after a slew of not nice men & I was surprised by how kind, attentive & respectful he was. When it began to get serious - he sat me down to talk about meeting his family. 🧵

We’re leading a $100m Series A investment in @tessl_io, launched by @snyksec founder @guypod , to power a paradigm shift in how software gets made. Why does this matter? The AI era calls for more than bolt-on coding co-pilots, as powerful as they can be. Now there’s a huge opportunity to rethink developer workflows from scratch – to create what Guypo calls ‘AI Native Development’. indexventures.com/perspectives/w…

Just had an eye-opening convo with a startup founder. They said, "We don't need a product demo video on our landing page. People have short attention spans. Nobody watches those." I smiled and thought, "Ah, the classic website mistake." Here's the thing: Your website isn't for "everyone." It's a love letter to your ideal buyer. You might think, "Nobody reads long copy or watches demo videos." But guess what? Your BUYERS do. They're not just scrolling by. They're investigating. They want to know everything about you. So, go ahead: - Add that long, juicy heading - Write that detailed copy - Showcase those glowing testimonials - Craft a compelling "About Us" page - Answer every question in your FAQs - Include all those footer links Why? Because your ideal buyers care. They read. They watch. They want to know YOU. Don't design for the masses. Design for the ones who matter—your buyers. They're out there, hungry for information. Feed them. :) Remember: Your website is not a billboard. It's a conversation with your future buyers. Make it count. Make it thorough. Make it irresistible to the right person.

Very insightful post from @guypod about a mental model he developed to evaluate AI solutions. Guy plots AI solutions across two dimensions - how much *change* they require to be used, and how much *trust* they require to be useful. These dimensions divide them into 4 primary areas. Interesting to see how today's AI tools and solutions fit in this matrix today and tomorrow! Would love to hear your thoughts and where you think your tools/solutions sit today! Blog link in comments.
