I used blue light glasses for more than 6-7 years. Didn’t have much difference. That’s when I dug deeper and found out the studies that support this are either funded by blue light glass makers or has no significant result whatsoever. What has really helped me is the frequent breaks from screens.

What’s the best pair of blue light blocking glasses? Being blinded by the TVs on flights is messing with my sleep too much

I’ve been designing in tech for 15 years. Somewhere along the way the work stopped resonating. So I wiped the slate clean. Deleted my entire portfolio. Started from zero. Rebuilt everything with intention. My brand. My style. The clients I attract. All from the ground up. All aligned with what I actually believe in. One shift changed everything. I aligned my values with my craft. It is never too late to recalibrate and reengage.

It’s been 7 years of my design journey. The first 3 years were the best years. Full of passion. Eager to learn. Ready to achieve anything. Limitless. The next 2 years were smooth. Enjoying the journey. Living the ‘Freelance Life’. But tbh, The last 2 years were the worst. I felt completely lost. I still do. Oddly disconnected. The art got lost in the algorithm. The passion blended into relevance. Everything I made lacked soul. Enough of it. It’s eating me from the inside. It’s making me the very thing I don’t want to. It has to change. 2026. Year of Focus Focus on God. Focus on meaning. Focus on intention. Focus on art. Focus on consistency. Make every piece of work count. Make it mean something. Make it beautiful. See beyond the noise of numbers. This is not what I’m made for. Focus on my lane. Make great work. Nothing else matters. The gift I have. Is extraordinary. Mediocre work doesn’t suit it. Do it for the one who gave it to you. Find the true purpose of your gift. Embrace it. Live it. Everyday. Ask this to yourself everyday, What if tomorrow you loose the gift, will you be proud of what you did today? Shalom!

just watched @ransegall recent youtube video. it's an unfiltered take on the state of web design industry in 2025. and i feel every designer should watch it. specially, our X design community. something i have also been thinking about lately as i am expanding more into web design in 2026. so grateful for people like @ransegall @vanschneider (and more others) who keep the craft alive and lead us young designers to the right track. it is so important to fix the "why" behind our design journey to not get distracted and carry it with the pure intent.

@pizzaboy I used a similar approach but with only major types (minimal, serif, script etc.) but this approach feels more natural and effective. thanks for sharing.

Fired this over to the client this morning. It may look like a random collection of logos but most of it is intentional based on the kick off call. We have: + Sharp edges + Rounded edges + Letters + 4 of our own logos + Some link based logos We ask them to return a list of "Love it" and "Hate it" and that gives us a pretty good idea on what to start concepting. It's essentially a psyop based on the kick off call because we know what they should like, so this will just confirm it! ✌️
