I have the perfect curriculum for the schools in the US but everyone will hate me for that. I’d unite all schools’ textbooks and what would be taught in every grade. No extra noise and no BS. A consistent learning ladder that keeps adding to the previous year’s education) not just studying to pass the exams) until they finish highschool. They would learn English, Maths, sciences( physics, chemistry, biology, computer sciences, and health sciences) and social studies in addition to two foreign languages. All schools would be studying the exact same thing, using the exact same textbooks.

I just left a visit to the ICE detention facility in Eloy. There’s a lot to absorb, but I want to tell you about a woman I met named Maria because her story really shows how messed up all this is. She’s been in the U.S. for twenty years. Has no criminal history. She was detained at the Marine Base in Yuma. Her son is a U.S. Marine stationed there. He’s married to another Marine. And they have a two-year-old kid, Maria's grandson. Maria was in Yuma because her son was leaving for training, her daughter-in-law had a hip surgery, and so they needed help watching her grandson. When she came back to the base after a grocery run, she was detained and reported to CBP. Now, she’s being held in an ICE facility. I remember how proud my parents were watching my brother and I get sworn into the Navy, so I asked her if she had been there when her son graduated from boot camp. She broke down in tears. All she could say was how proud of her son she was. That stuck with me. And it should stick with you. And if I have anything to do about it, it will stick with this administration. This woman loves America. Her son is risking her life for America – for us. She is the exact type of person we should want in this country. My team and I will keep fighting for her and her family.

😡 My 20-year-old son (who turns 21 next month) was driving home to Indiana from Florida today—a grueling 19-hour trip. But guess what? Not a single @Marriott or @HiltonHotels in northern Florida or Georgia along I-75 would let him check in to sleep for the night. Even though I offered to prepay with my credit card, they all refused, citing “company policy” that prohibits anyone under 21 from checking in without an "adult." I have some serious questions: 1. How is it that you can pay taxes and even go to war at 18, yet Marriott and Hilton don’t consider you old enough to check into a hotel room with a guaranteed credit card? 2. Isn’t this age discrimination? What if they told a 90-year-old they were too old to check into a hotel alone? 3. Is it really reasonable to force a 20-year-old to sleep in his car on the side of the road or drive all night? Am I supposed to fly to Florida and drive home with my son—who is old enough to fight for his country—just to keep him - and others on the road- safe? What am I missing here? 🤔
