Improved the export video pipeline for motionos.app We now bundle Remotion in the browser and send the bundle to a @vercel Sandbox for rendering. This: - Cuts export time significantly - Eliminates redundant package installs in the sandbox - Lets us boot Remotion-ready sandboxes from pre-built snapshots

useState causes a re-render every time you update it. So if you're tracking something that doesn't affect the UI — you just built an infinite loop. useRef holds the value between renders without triggering them. Small difference. Saves you hours of debugging.
