At least 4 blatant occurances tonight.

Another example from tonight. There have been several in this U20 game. 📹: @SportTG4

English

@AaronMaher95 Hopefully Aaron, because all 8 provincial finalists get same perks whether they win/lose, that they just name all 8 counties in the bowl on Monday that have made the provincial finals.
Rather than having them down as provincial winners/losers. Dont give the counties the choice
English

Can never understand why they do these draws before the provincial finals
Could have a scenario where a county gets drawn against Donegal if they win but Cavan if they lose
Don't think any side would go out and lose on purpose but it does devalue the finals a little x.com/JohnFogartyIrl…

@corkfootballpod Screenings not against rules, obstruction is. Only obstruction if the player in question makes a deliberate move towards the defending players. Screening is when a player is standing his ground.
Thats the difference. Most counties screen nowadays & most of time its done legally
English

@SmallerFishGAA 2/2
Lets say we get:
Munster Winner vs Donegal
Munster runners up vs Kildare
It could encourage a team to lose a provincial final for a handier draw.
All 8 provincial finalists should be named in the bowl rather than provincial winners/runners up and leaving uncertainty.
English

@SmallerFishGAA Are they still doing draw as provincial Winners & Runners up instead of just putting counties names in to bowl. By this weekend we will know all finalists so surely they wont be doing it, hate to see teams thinking they’ll get an easier draw by losing their provincial finals
1/2
English

Crazy doing the draw this early, before provincial finals have taken place.
When will they ever learn to do things right? How much time do counties need like
An idea from a subscriber - They could do the first half of the draw on TV after Connacht and Munster finals - gives two weeks lead in
Second half of the draw on TV after Leinster and Ulster finals
No county would know the draw before their provincial finals
English

@JohnFogartyIrl Yes but lets say we get :
Munster Winner vs Donegal
Munster runners up vs Kildare

@mill_ehtna @ConnachtGAA @RoscommonGAA @Galway_GAA I imagine if they charge €35 for stand for semis, they’ll be charging at least that if not €40/€45 for a final stand ticket. Especially when demand is probably going to be more than the capacity of Dr.Hyde Park
English

@ConnachtGAA @RoscommonGAA @Galway_GAA Will you have the common sense not to charge 35 or 40€ as rumoured for stand tickets?

@CarlowWeather Any indication what the weekend of May 9/10 might look like in the Southwest Alan?
English

@newryhurler1 I’d take that ahead of the 8 injuries (including 4 all stars) that we have injured 🤕🙄 . Corks Munster Final to lose 😌
English

A bad week on the injury front for Cork across the two mens codes ...massive loss for the game in Killarney
Kieran McCarthy@KieranMcC_SS
❌ Brian Hurley has been ruled out of Munster senior football final against Kerry. southernstar.ie/sport/cork-ace…
English

@winstonrichie @Gavinenmm Agreed but you cant make an accurate assessment on 1 game. Westmeath have won their 2 Championship games , Donegal lost their first championship game. Does that mean Westmeath go above Donegal??
English

@romanc_95 @Gavinenmm Considering championship by far trumps anything league. How could you put Meath in the top 10.
English

@TheSundayGame Was this not voted in in congress, it was comprehensively turned down. I’m not sure why , I personally would be in favour. Especially when games get to Croke Park it was always great to watch the minor games before the main event in semi finals and finals.
English

Poor marketing from @officialgaa. I wouldn’t have known the Tailteann Cup draw was today only for it appearing in my in Foireann app this morning
Should be promoted better as to when these draws happen, no mention when the Sam Maguire draw is

English

@markdenis72 @CorkHurlingPod @barryomahony_9 Ya I heard the same rumour, apparently it will be the Kerry U20s lining out after Tomás Ó Sé complained about Munster counties not having enough games at U20 level 🙄😜
English

@romanc_95 @CorkHurlingPod @barryomahony_9 Yerra, we are flying in training. I hear the biggest problem ye are having is reining it in. Word is that Jack is thinking of resting the Cliffords. They have an awful lot of football played.
English

@MickFoley76 @ailbeoreilly Cork favourites for this game in my book. Kerry have 4 All Stars out injured and a 5th only just finding his way back from a long term injury. Also ckub player of the year (Tom Sull) out injured now as well. Too much for any team to handle.
English

@SmallerFishGAA @Lacey_Brian What about the shoulder from Mike Breen wooly? Looked a perfect shoulder live at the game
English

@Lacey_Brian I only saw the Mike Breen one and nothing wrong with that
English

A lot of nonsense comments in relation to Screens being a free in gaelic football today.. First of all, no where in the Official Guide Part 2 does the word SCREEN appear. Under 5.7, 5.12 & 5.13 under agressive fouls in the guide, they are the only rules that could be interpreted as a screen. However, for 5.7 to apply it must be an illegal CHARGE. Under law 5.12 & 5.13 the actions must be deliberate. Therefore those screens today in Kerry/Clare game were all legal no free. @SmallerFishGAA
