The rise of white supremacy was a media generated narrative. This is observable:

Senator Josh Hawley (R) proposes an amendment to BAN federal funding of Planned Parenthood "For years, outfits like Planned Parenthood have gotten BILLIONS of dollars... which they can then use for transgender surgeries and drugs for minor children."

If you have ever looked at your list of investing choices in the typical 401k plan, it is really limited. Around 70 million people save through a 401k plans via their employer. But they don't have access to the types of investments that wealthy people use to get richer. Wall Street, K Street and Federal employees play by a different set of rules. The investment options have changed since the 1970s, the last time 401k rules were updated. Yet the 401k rules have never made those investments available. President Trump issued an executive order last August. He ordered the Dept of Labor to modernize the 401k rules. This will lead to lower costs and a more diverse retirement portfolio. The rules explicitly ban double fees and sales commissions.

VOTING BLOCK: Four Republican senators, historically critical of President Trump, voted against instructing the chamber’s rules committee to find a way to add SAVE America Act elements to the budget reconciliation package.

The Trump administration is waging a vindictive campaign against the organizations that safeguard our democracy.   Weaponizing the DOJ to indict long-standing watchdogs is a message: if you defend voting rights, fight white supremacy, or protect civil rights, you’re next.   This is an assault on the institutions that make freedom real for everyone. They will not succeed.
