Last night, Mark flew his enormous jet to Paris. The official reason for the trip is to "deepen ties", with no details about what he plans to get done to benefit Canadians. This flight burned 55,000L of jet fuel, and the carbon emissions were roughly 140,000kg.

YouVersion not only carries The Passion Translation after YEARS of it being exposed as sectarian, unreliable (according to numerous respected Christian scholars), misleading, and recently being exposed even more as not even being translated in many places but copied and pasted from other works, they also promote it with ads as recently as today. This isn’t just a translation I don’t like. It would be childish to make such a stink over that. It’s an affront to the Word of God and the people of God. If you think I am overreacting I would just let ask you to consider doing a bit of research first.

Read the Book of Mormon. Cover to cover. Pray about it, asking sincerely to know whether it’s true (the final chapter provides specific guidance on this point). Then tell me whether Latter-day Saints believe in Jesus Christ. Will you accept that challenge?

Has anyone disputed a traffic ticket? I got one yesterday for touching my phone, which was on my centre console, while stopped at a red light. (Wasn't holding it.) The cop said that it would have been fine if the phone was *mounted* on my dashboard, but that it's illegal to touch it if it's sitting on the centre console (where the cup holders are). What an arbitrary rule: you're allowed to use your phone at a red light but only if it's mounted in place a few inches away from where it was sitting...? I'm not sure if I should bother disputing this, or just suck it up and pay the ridiculous fine.
