@GloriaCampos Ms. Campos, one of the things that confuses me is this; how many RGV residents, citizens, are just a generation or two removed from relatives like your granny, and yet, voted for hard anti-immigrant Trump?! I honestly don’t get it.

I grew up in S Texas —farm workers are primarily immigrants & don’t/can’t vote—but the people/farmers/businesses who employ them-do (vote.) I am US citizen but my granny (mother’s mother) worked the fields as Green Card holder.
