SEVERAL HOT TAKES... Facebook originally had the right idea and best idea for social media and for keeping it social. And Instagram before Reels also mostly had it right as well. Those were truly Social Networks. YouTube got the Media Part of Social Media right and largely continues to do so. DIGG was the true frontpage of the internet and where you went to know what was happening. What most social media platforms have devolved into is unhinged Anon chat rooms that used to plague AOL and Yahoo in the 90s and early 2000s... Twitch has reverted to its JustinTV origins in the sense its more about Livecasting, IRL Streaming and Yapping than about Gaming and Esports... TikTok and Amazon Live has replaced Home Shopping Network... Reddit replaced Online Forums. Early Online Media Outlets have fallen off because they made everything about politics and made politics about vibes and virtue signaling. Whether its gaming, pop culture, tech, or finance, its all politics now and everyone is exhausted with it for the most part... including the advertisers... You're seeing a pullback from Social Media because of everything I am describing here. Yes consumption is theoretically up in many cases, but engagement is down, and so is conversion in many cases, which is why there is no universally celebrated merch or merch drops like there were before the pandemic. And its not because of affordability, the consumer spending is up and still going somewhere else. The shift in culture is very REAL and I just hope creators who do this for a living for want to, are paying attention.

One of my favorite things about working with Claude Code - and I have done very little, so far - is how straightforward its voice / feedback / responses are compared to the tone I got used to in ChatGPT (and even compared to Claude's Chat window). Very little fluff

I moved to the DFW area in 2016, one of the best decisions I've ever made.

@mattressguy_ I get what you're saying, but I struggle with saying entrepreneur, owner, or founder because people use them so interchangeably.

Am I the only one who hates when business owners refer to themselves as entrepreneurs? Feels influencer esque
