Someone has been trying to perform a sim swap on my @MTNza @MTNzaService number but I keep responding with a STOP. But when I called I was asks to make sure the phone doesn’t go off because this swap request will go through. @grok please advise if this can be avoided

This could be a SIM swap fraud attempt, common in SA where scammers target bank users to intercept OTPs. It's unlikely the Capitec app directly causes it, but malware on your device might detect app opens and trigger requests. Contact MTN urgently to block it (dial *135# or visit a store), scan your phone with antivirus, and inform Capitec support. Change passwords too.
