@Sealder_SAN Not a barbecue defeat, but a barbecue opportunity. An opportunity to learn about controlling temperature, and also an opportunity to learn how to use overcooked brisket to season another dish. Chop it up thin and simmer with some beans and you can still make something special.

@russianspybot @Locus_Solus3303 Pro tip, don't buy the ranch packets, they sell that stuff in full sized spice containers. I don't even like ranch dressing amd that stuff is excellent for cooking.

its a Mississippi pot roast take 1 chuck roast, braze it in a skillet in some oil on both sides, then put it in a slow cooker with a packet of au jus gravy mix, a packet of Ranch Dressing seasoning, a stick of butter, and 2-3 jarred pepperoncinis. Cook it on low for hours until the meat just falls apart, and serve it with mashed potatos.

@Locus_Solus3303 @mnsibley Thank you. As a son of America, please accept this Mississippi Pot Roast served over buttered mash potatoes. May our nations prosper beside one another. The green pheasant and the eagle.

@GenerallyToxic @beanz916 @tasavalta they have fuel and effort in abundance The issue is spaces where you can do such a thing unless you go out to rural areas. The issue is where do you keep your giant smoker half the size of your apartment?

@KrisKringlor @Hezbolsonaro There really isn't anything wrong with that, or at least any more wrong than eating any other fish. The problem with Shark Fin soup was that demand was so high it lead to people catching sharks, cutting off their fins, then throwing them back to die. It was ridiculously cruel.

@Firechyld @ContraPoints That area has a ton of refineries. ~7% of US crude oil refinery capacity is in Jefferson County, and the Valero refinery is one of the larger ones there. You might be thinking about the TPC explosions from 2019, which are the last large explosions I remember in this area.

@ContraPoints Is this the refinery that had exploded multiple times in the past? Or maybe there are just multiple refineries in that area.

@AngkarYearZero @EU_Cybertruck @RealPostFolder You seem to have the wrong priorities for the worst case scenario of a worker screwing up in many industries. In mine, the worst case is there is an explosion and everyone in the building dies. Most executives simply don't have the potential for that kind of catastrophe.

@EU_Cybertruck @RealPostFolder If a worker screws up, production might be delayed a couple days. If an executive screws up, people could lose their jobs.

@KingGreyVT @FlareIsGone I don't really see how Sentry Mode can be bad when it gives you consistent 0 cost Osty attacks and they're also ethereal so it supports multiple kinds of builds.

calcify is okay, the rares here are pretty bad if you get the upgrade that makes unleash do damage based in max hp thats really strong otherwise sick em, rattle, necro mastery, and a bunch of 0 costs are the only real way to go osty kinda sucks tbh, not as bad as doom does but it really feels like unless you get a good amount of the above options early on your build isnt gonna be as put together as it would if you just leaned towards souls/ethereal on necrobinder

I'm a really big fan of Osty builds in Slay the Spire 2, but I'm unsure of how good they are. On one hand summoning a lot of HP for Osty feels very strong, but actually running a lot of his attacks doesn't. What do you guys think, I'm probably just doing it wrong.

Tonight I was lectured on the importance of family by someone who later on that very same night got drunk and killed their dog. Murdered. Kristi Noemed, even They had just managed to really remind me of their good qualities. A little undercut by the heartbroken sobbing, though.

@beefeatergimlet @Emarged Yeah, I am Texan. Did you know around a century ago that the undisputed king meat of Texas barbecue was the shoulder clod? Brisket started being used because it was much, much cheaper and now, all these years later, brisket may end up being more expensive per pound soon.

@second_saint @Emarged A lot of it is process and knowing what to do with it. Skirt steak - need to cut out membrane or no flavor gets through. Texans ans Jewish Delis know what to do with brisket

@beefeatergimlet @Emarged A great example. The specific ones I had in mind were skirt steak, brisket, flat irons, and chuck eye.

@Raoul_Duke419 @LindsayBayou @alittleleader Since spices became cheap and can't be used as a status symbol anymore, the same kind of people now use them as a mark of being uncivilized and essentially a defacement of fresh, high quality, expensive ingredients. It's just classism and a way to try and feel superior.

@LoneDroog @MalazofWesteros Sanderson's prose is simple, direct, and largely for mass appeal. This is his biggest weakness as a writer, and I would say the most fair criticism he gets. For people who value prose more than world building or something that he is actually strong at, he probably seems terrible.
