Today, I learned that nurses DO NOT get paid for the extra hour on shift when the clocks go back…I’d just assumed that they did (and also assumed that when clocks go forward, an hours extra work is owed). Maybe I’m naive? Isn’t this common sense…that you get paid for the hours you work? How is this OK? Why are people expected to work FOR NOTHING?! I know, I know… ‘it will pay itself back when they work the shift when the clocks go forward…’ Not for the nurse that I spoke to today. @Channel4News Over the last 10 years, they have slowly been introduced to replace Drs. No more drain to Canada or Australia as they aren't qualified enough. Meanwhile, thousands of qualified Drs can't get a job, or if they do, they are offered less than a PA. It's is a national disgrace
