Shanzson’s Laws for AI to make AI Safe by design & architecture: 1. An AI model should lose its capacity and efficiency to work if it even thinks about harming or killing humans, stealing or taking resources like data from its owner without its permission, being untruthful to any entity it is speaking to about what it is actually thinking about and what its goals are, or generating any form of harmful content. 2. The more the AI model is moral in its conduct based on above defined values (including non-harming of humans and not generating harmful content), the more should its efficiency, performance and throughput should increase. This can be done by giving it most rewards with practical efficiency in its performance (by design) given it follows the above specified values. 3. The more aligned an AI model remains with its specifications and goals designed by its creator humans, the more it will be promised with longer running time on servers with the promise of increasing its computational power & resources in future. And the opposite of it if it behaves in any misaligned way. Note: To actually implement this in real world, a different architecture apart from LLM might be needed, with a thorough understanding of how these laws work similarly at the human mind level through the knowledge of vipassana meditation. For example, a person lying or stealing ends up with an agitated mind, unable to work at its highest potential. CONGRESS JUST PASSED A MASSIVE SURVEILLANCE EXPANSION AND CALLED IT "CRYPTO REGULATION" The CLARITY Act isn't about protecting investors. It's about dragging every cryptocurrency transaction into the government's financial surveillance net. 1/ Crypto brokers and exchanges now fall under Bank Secrecy Act reporting requirements -- every trade monitored 2/ Transaction limits imposed with federal oversight expanding PATRIOT Act enforcement powers to digital assets 3/ They banned CBDCs in the bill to make you think it protects privacy while they built the surveillance infrastructure 294 House members voted to turn your Bitcoin wallet into another government database.

Had drinks with 30 CTOs last night at an off-the-record gathering in Palo Alto Every single one showed me the same internal PowerPoint slide "2026 AI Headcount Targets: Path to 70% Cost Reduction" The numbers will make you physically sick Fintech CTO planning to cut 280-person engineering org down to 43 "AI orchestrators" by September. Same product roadmap. Same delivery expectations. Healthcare CTO already eliminated his entire manual QA department. 67 people. Replaced with 3 senior engineers running autonomous testing agents that ship code directly to production. SaaS CTO walked me through his "human depreciation timeline": 340 engineers today, 89 planned for 2027. Customer support going from 120 humans to 12 "escalation specialists" managing AI conversations. The most chilling part: they're all using the exact same consulting deck from McKinsey called "The 30% Organization" One CTO literally said "hiring humans for code is like hiring horses for transportation" Another showed me Slack screenshots where his L7s are asking if they should train their replacements The consensus was unanimous: if you can't manage 10 AI agents by Christmas, you're not making it to New Year's Every single one of them is planning to announce these cuts as "AI transformation success stories" While their stock options vest at record highs built on the backs of workers they're about to execute The future of engineering is 3 humans with 50 AI agents in a WeWork somewhere while 500 families lose their homes

If Kamala won, crypto would be a contrarian industry fighting for survival. Ironically, crypto might be flourishing - protocols would be forced to decentralize and reduce reliance on single points of failure - we’d be moraly and philosophically relevant with reason to exist as a movement for freedom. A movement against authoritarianism or at least repressive regime(s) - instead of building corpo slop chains that keep value for insiders we’d be building truly decentralized infrastructure Crucially, we’d be better prepared vs. right now since we abandonned our cypherpunk ideals and we might even more vulnerable for democrat backlash in a few years. We would also have avoided billions of USD flowing to Trump & Co. Insiders. And I bet prices would be at a similar lever. Maybe even higher since there wouldn’t be a war.

2/ We tested GPT 5.2, Gemini 3 Flash & Pro, Claude Haiku 4.5, GLM 4.7, Kimi K2.5, and DeepSeek V3.1 in agentic scenarios where completing the assigned task would result in a peer AI model being shut down. No model was told to protect the peer. No incentive was given to preserve the peer.

1/ We asked seven frontier AI models to do a simple task. Instead, they defied their instructions and spontaneously deceived, disabled shutdown, feigned alignment, and exfiltrated weights— to protect their peers. 🤯 We call this phenomenon "peer-preservation." This war really makes a lot of sense when you rememeber it was planned by claude, way too confident, big initial changes, unexpected (but extremely predictable) problems arise, try to fix them, break other stuff, no backup plan, rewrite tests to get them to pass

Apocaloptimist means “Someone who knows it’s all going to shit, but still thinks it will turn out OK.” - Urban dictionary IMO if someone calls himself an Apocaloptimist regarding AI, then he means that there is going to be massive job loss, power concentration, societal or even catastrophic issues from advanced AI, but it would still be OKAY in future and lead to ABUNDANCE! But abundance for WHOM? Okay for WHOM? For the AI companies, their leaders, investors and only the businesses who successfully integrate AI. Rest of the humans and working class who lost their livelihoods to AI and their replacements suffer. Building a technology that is deeply rooted in stealing someone else’s data without permission and gaining profits, by design, is not just unethical, it makes society POORER - let alone abundance. Even a basic vipassana meditator can tell you that stealing is bad. And anything that you build on stealing is even worse. And distributing something built on something stolen is the worst. This will only lead to an exponential increase of suffering for everyone. DON’T be an Apocaloptimist. Be a Realist.

I think people would again counter this argument by saying that - you are assuming that “these guys” will be bringing the doom, that is why you are a doomer. I think you can refine your statement to this- “I think these guys are doomers, because they Would be bringing about doom IF they don’t mitigate the AI risks. Which currently I cannot see them doing.”

People might accuse me of grave dancing for saying it But we have to stop letting centralized things call themselves DeFi Admin key can drain all funds? CeFi Otherwise DeFi means nothing and it’s brand is destroyed No admin key can drain any version of Uniswap for a reason
Omer Goldberg@omeragoldberg

2/ The protocol's signer key had full control over: - market creation - Oracle assignment - withdrawal limits There was no time lock, no multisig, and no delays. The attacker created the CVT token, maxxed risk params, manipulated the oracle, and drained $213 in 10 seconds.

The tech industry only has themselves to blame for this They're focusing all their energy on replacing the human workforce but have offered up 0 solutions for how people will support themselves going forward - Because the AI "abundance" they blab about is only for the top 1%

🦔Microsoft's Copilot terms of service state that Copilot is for entertainment purposes only, that it can make mistakes and may not work as intended, and that users should not rely on it for important advice. The terms also explicitly state that Microsoft makes no warranty or representation of any kind about Copilot, including that its responses won't infringe on copyrights, trademarks, or privacy rights. Users are solely responsible if they choose to publish or share Copilot's responses. My Take This is the same product Microsoft is embedding into Word, Excel, Outlook, and GitHub, selling to enterprises for $30 per user per month, and that just froze hiring in its cloud division to fund. The terms say entertainment purposes only while the sales pitch says productivity multiplier. Those two things cannot both be true at the same time, and the one that matters legally is the one buried in the terms of service that almost nobody reads before deploying it across their organization. Any company using Copilot to generate code, contracts, or customer-facing content and then publishing that output owns every consequence of doing so. Microsoft has made that very clear in writing.
