At this point if you're in the US military you have a moral obligation to start refusing orders. Desert. Become a conscientious objector. Ideally, get everyone together and launch a full-scale military coup. We're in "Mad King" territory. Someone's gotta do what needs to be done.

The Ukrainian goal these past several weeks is to ensure that the Russians cannot rebuild their economy from windfall profits as a result of the Gulf War. As a result, they have massively damaged Russian exports from the Gulf of Finland whilst now shifting their eyes to the Black Sea. As well, the Ukrainians are targeting Russian refineries and chemical plants affiliated with the petrochemical industry to further damage the Russian economy, increasing CAPEX costs which will need to be invested in repairs whilst also limiting production as well as extraction. Taken together, this greatly limits Russian exports and reduces their profits whilst also setting the stage for additional strikes that aim to eliminate exports from European Russia entirely. Russia is being decarbonized by force. Because if they are not, their profits from global O&G shortages will buoy their floundering economy, enabling Moscow to continue to prosecute their war of conquest.

Most Europeans have no idea how absolutely furious with Europe America is. This is not just another disagreement. Betrayal is not something you just let slide. And the mouthy responses from Europeans are pouring gas on that fire. They have misjudged the situation gravely & it will have grave consequences for Europe— economically AND militarily.

If you’re Russia, China, or Iran… a domestically paralyzed America that can’t project force without a massive internal political crisis is the single best outcome you can achieve without firing a shot. Total US military deaths across all theaters (2001-2025): ~7,500 Compared to murders in highest crime cities during that same period Chicago (D): 13,911 Philadelphia (D): 9,500 Detroit (D): 7,750 Baltimore (D): 7,500 Memphis (D): 5,000 New Orleans (D): 4,500 St. Louis (D): 4,375 Total… 52,500 people… 7x the troops we lost during the same period. All seven cities… Democrat mayors… for decades. The anti-war movement got more political energy than any of these cities ever did. Foreign adversaries amplified it. Celebrities marched for it. Universities built entire departments around it. 52,500 dead Americans in seven cities. No marches. No celebrity campaigns. No congressional hearings.
