Wow. A generation that is already forfeiting the game in their 20's and 30's...with concession that they cannot perform at the same professional level as their parents and grandparents. Companies pay for performance and tremendous can-do attitudes...which is clearly not represented in your post. Ergo, you likely won't have the lifestyle you yearn for due to your low performance that comes from your weak attitude.

Had a drink with my cousin who finally managed to pay off his student debt last month. He spent 10 years grinding, skipping vacations, and eating generic groceries to wipe out a $35,530 bachelor’s degree balance. He thought the second that debt vanished, he would instantly feel the financial freedom he was promised. Instead, he sat down to map out his new budget now that his $300 monthly loan payment was gone. He realized the baseline cost of just existing completely swallowed his victory. His mandatory annual car insurance premium jumped from $1,047 to $2,276. His monthly grocery bill for his family is pushing past $1,250. He told me he stared at his screen and realized he didn't actually gain any ground. The money he freed up from his education debt was already spoken for by basic inflation. He did everything right. Sacrificed his entire twenties to get back to zero debt. And the economy adjusted the prices of baseline survival just fast enough to ensure he stays in the exact same spot. You cannot save your way out of a system that re-prices the baseline metrics of living every single quarter.

My uncle retired at 67 after 40 years of factory work. He got Pension, Medicare, A paid-off house. he thought he made it. Parkinson's diagnosis at 68. Memory care facility: $11,000/month. Medicare doesn't cover long term care. Nobody told him that. He died at 71. house sold and pension gone. His wife of 48 years is in studio apartment filling for Medicaid. This is the retirement they sold him.
