i made a terminal habit tracker in C++. no framework, no libraries. just a single file that compiles and does exactly what i needed. recreational programming is underrated. not everything needs to scale.

@RoySaswat20995 haha exactly. complexity gets mistaken for seriousness way too often. the best tools i have are the ones nobody else will ever use.

@49agents honestly half the appeal of this was having nothing to configure. the smaller the surface area the longer it sticks around.

@sid_233 this is the way. i have a folder of tiny single-file tools i wrote for random stuff, none of them would survive scrutiny but they work exactly how i need them to. libraries are great until you just need one thing

used the grip package to view how markdown files would look on GitHub. i love tech.
