@SCweather_wx Going to take advantage of the lull and get some equipment maintenance done! So much to do.

There hasn't been a whole lot of weather to talk about since our powerful storm a few days ago.
Moving forward, I don't see a big weather topic to really latch on too. Our flow looks mostly zonal & bottled up further North. Small dips in the trough to the North will bring energy in the form of clippers across the Northern plains, Great Lakes & Northeast. Some will occasionally dip further South. There will be shots of cooler air with each dip in the jet to replace warm periods through the end of the month. I'd watch for a stronger trough dig in the 7-10 day period that could bring a colder shot of air with energy for the Eastern US.
I don't see any flow across the Lower 48 that supports any significant severe weather for the foreseeable future. There are signs that could change as we move into April, but we will worry about that when the time comes.

@sirensproject Nice video! May AccuWeather have your permission to use this with credit to you on all platforms of @AccuWeather and its affiliates?

@SCweather_wx Missed that. Was looking at 530mb. I’ll do better!

@SCweather_wx I enjoy them! Especially those focusing on the SE where we respond. I get the grind though. YouTube can be exhausting, and we don’t do it at nearly the level you do.

Looks like this Spring will continue the trend of the last couple.
Very low views during severe weather season.
People just don’t watch long form videos about severe weather. I don’t really blame them either. I don’t enjoy talking about it if I’m being honest. But ya gotta keep people updated & stay consistent without losing yourself in the hype. YouTube was much different just 3 years ago.
Thanks for people that continue to tune in every morning!

@TornadoCoaching A few things!
-Listening to music or brainstorming new ideas in silence.
-Catching up with great friends if I’m not solo.
-Listening to Podcasts or YouTube videos that challenge your mind.
-Seeing and enjoying parts of the country I otherwise would never see.

@sirensproject Yes! What do you usually enjoy the most about a drive?

7 years ago we responded to a devastating EF-4 tornado in Lee County, AL. This was one of our first organized disaster response deployments. We were tasked to help families along Lee County Rd 39 located belongings and clear debris.

Video from yesterday's bird fart tornado intercept as it crossed Highway 1 near Flat Rock, IL. Very weak when it crossed 1 with just a large lowering and intermittent vortices. Not bad for the first severe chase of 2026 though! @foxweather @ryanhallyall @WxWiseApp

We had the incredible opportunity of having ATL legend Glenn Burns as a guest on Episode 8 of our podcast! Great stories and insight from 42 years as chief meteorologist with WSB-TV. Check it out!
