The Prototype Fast Breeder Reactor at Kalpakkam is not just a scientific milestone.
A reactor that produces more fuel than it consumes means India is building a future where no foreign power can ever hold our energy security hostage.
And this is just Stage 2. Stage 3 unlocks our thorium reserves, the largest in the world. When that happens India will have an almost infinite domestic fuel cycle that no sanction, no trade war and no geopolitical pressure can ever touch.
The same nation that was denied nuclear technology after 1974 Pokhran has now mastered the full nuclear fuel cycle indigenously. Let that sink in.

Today, India takes a defining step in its civil nuclear journey, advancing the second stage of its nuclear programme. The indigenously designed and built Prototype Fast Breeder Reactor at Kalpakkam has attained criticality. This advanced reactor, capable of producing more fuel than it consumes, reflects the depth of our scientific capability and the strength of our engineering enterprise. It wasn’t a great start for CSK last night, but here’s why it was really hard for the batters to take first strike on that pitch.
3 days the pitch remained under covers due to rain, enough moisture to give the first bowling side a significant advantage.
This image illustrates how much the ball has seamed to defeat Sanju on the outer half of the blade.
That much seam movement is not ideal in the T 20 format, and it is very tough to control the uncontrollable.

If you really think DMK has capability on Hosur growth, first get the railway line doubling and high frequency connectivity with Bglr. For ages it kept as abandoned railway line (electrified just 2 yrs back). Even today daily office goers struggling for timely trains.

Hosur’s growth was never about one MLA or one party. Local roads and drains are routine works every government does. What matters is industrial growth, jobs and investments and those have accelerated after 2021 under DMK with SIPCOT expansion, EV and electronics industries, and Bengaluru-linked manufacturing. COVID stalled visible works everywhere, but real development is happening where jobs and industries are growing and Hosur clearly is. Do some research yourself instead of asking someone you will understand.

After state govt order, BMRCL gave multiple contracts for feasibility studies to extend Metro to outskirts, instead of focusing on core city areas.
Each study costs Rs 1-2 crore. Naturally, no consultant will call it unviable.

Bengaluru’s Metro Phase 3A (Red Line) from Sarjapur to Hebbal is crucial, but at ₹28,405 crore (₹776 crore/km), it is the most expensive project in Namma Metro's history. Centre has rightly sought revisions. BMRCL will now reassess and aim to reduce the high estimated costs.
