👀 Announcing a big change for Figma Tokens users: I’m rebranding my plugin Figma Tokens to "Tokens Studio for Figma". It’s been in the works for a while, and I’m excited to finally unveil that change. 🧵 Read why

@juergengenser @figma @TokensStudio As for two people working on the same report: should not be a problem, but if they are performing changes at the same time they might want to work in branches to make sure they dont override each other's work. How would your ideal experience look like there?

@six7 @figma @TokensStudio if I get it correctly you have to manage variables directly in TokensStudio once imported and actively apply changes to the Figma file? also, if two or more people are working on the project and the storage location is a Git repo, how does that work?

so if you want to sync @figma design tokens to a Git repository (and use Style Dictionary from there) @TokensStudio is basically the only option, or do I miss something? I want a professional commit workflow, not exporting/importing files manually.

@juergengenser @figma @TokensStudio Yes the current optimized flow is to treat TS as the source of truth, not Figma. There is an Import functionality but it's not meant to continuously import things into tokens. Is your prime use case to just have your variables synced to code, but manage with Figma's UI?

Build connected colour scales and use them anywhere, as @DesignTokens. Edit and fine-tune any time. Graph Engine breaks you free from tool restrictions. If you can imagine the logic, you can build it in Graph Engine. graph.beta.tokens.studio

After an incredible six and a half years @Figma, this is my last week. I’m so grateful for all the brilliant people I’ve gotten to work with, for the community I’ve gotten to help build and support, and for the opportunity to work on making design accessible to everyone. I’m truly going to miss it all! ❤️🧡 💜💙 💚

@efedorenko I learned a ton from listening to @syntaxfm and doing a few of @wesbos courses - the biggest learning comes with building and iterating on your own projects though. Being curious helps.

Designers, what courses or resources helped you learn to code? The goal is to understand the dev workflow and Git, contribute tweaks to CSS and React, and prototype ideas. No need to build anything from scratch yet. Asking for a friend!

@pururin @rogie Ah yeah I remember that was an issue in UI2 as well. Forcing me to go find my mouse to select a style

@six7 @rogie I think I feel the same when using search box in style finder and trying to apply with enter. But I don't even have ui3

@rogie bit of UI3 feedback: My favorite shortcut no longer works 😔 I used to use Shift+I to replace an existing instance with another component by typing the name and then pressing Opt+Enter. Opt+Enter doesnt work anymore in UI3's instance picker

@rogie Awesome, thank you! ❤️ I like to use the keyboard as much as possible so dragging isn't an option 😅

@six7 What a fun little find! I actually never used that method...I've always used the drag + cmd+opt to replace instances from Shift+I. Thanks for your report...I recorded a loom, recreating this regression and shared it with the team.
