With medical coding, you don't need knowledge in complex things like Python or Java. You only assign appropriate code for diagnosis and procedures using ICD 10/11 and CPT/HCPCS codes. The codes are available online. The easiest coding you can do is actually medical coding.

@GeriPerna I did medical coding. It’s all about the comorbidites. If your friend had a fever the insurance wouldn’t have a problem with it. The hospital has to defend their decisions & actions to get paid

So, a week ago, my guy was admitted to the hospital for a giant kidney stone. His leukocytes were high, and sepsis was an immediate concern, so he was admitted, and the stone was removed the following morning. He went home a few hours later. 6 DAYS LATER, UnitedHealthcare sent him a letter stating that their "medical advisors" did not believe his emergency warranted an overnight stay and therefore would not cover the charges! Now, did he admit himself into the hospital? No, that would be crazy...it isn't a hotel. A UROLOGIST ADMITTED HIM. So, now the hospital will have to fight United for payment. Crazy thing is, 2 years ago, I was admitted for something overnight, and I received THE SAME EXACT LETTER FROM UNITED. Insurance is a SCAM!
