@lofibanshee This is a completely separate situation that has been tackled and done for. What is being discussed now in the story direction and the absurdity of the writers' choices that leads to questioning their views on certain topics. I have explained it in other replies.

@space_l0rd I’m sorry are you trying to equate your disagreement with how they handle the story to the predatory behavior of former employees? Like what are you saying when you say scandal here.

So I think WoW's writers need to stop shading the player base and make a public apology at this point. From completely out of touch handling of the story to obviously racist undertones... just why? This is a recipe for another major scandal.

And let me be clear. This is not a window to criticise the gender of the writers. Just because some are female doesn't give you the right to degrade or insult them. The lead creative and narrative director is literally Metzen. A man and he should be held equally accountable

Not to mention the declining quality of storytelling and the embarrassing attempt to cover plotholes or even ignoring them entirely patch after patch. I know it's a game but at the same time... it's a beloved title that deserves better than this.

i do wonder how draenei avoid getting shit writing (most of the time…) and i suspect it’s because draenei kinda have their own thing going on independently. probably a lot more freedom when it comes to their writing compared to other races

@Disillusion1st Please let's not insert this here. We kill characters of both genders in wow in raids or quests all the time whether they are famously known or not.

@GKarstis54366 @BeeMaister So consequence of their own writing..? It still deserves criticism regardless of whether they do or don't know what they are doing. I'm sure they write with purpose in mind though

@Disillusion1st Let me put it in simple words. In early warcraft Orcs invade human lands. Orcs evil. Humans good. Also in early warcraft, Elves invade troll lands, trolls fight back. Trolls bad? Trolls aren't the colonizing invading force here.
