Rather, they were put in a precarious financial position due to events that transpired in the intervening 5 years/

@269Mechadragon @Crazed_Lfc @GamesRadar Both of those things were the result of Interplay. Brotherhood of Steel was a different dev team to 1 and 2, it was made in house. Also, the delay between was 2 and the original 3 was due to mismanagement. The original 3 devs were moved to other projects./

@Crazed_Lfc @GamesRadar The IP being sold was the result of unrelated failures of the publisher (Interplay). The first 2 games sold well by the standards of the time/genre. The devs didn't "mess up IP to the point of closure".

@RazorwireRPG I hate Starfield but I kinda like the fat middle aged men in the disco ball suits. The absurdity is funny. Knowing modern Bethesda, they were probably intended to be viewed as unironically sexy dancers though.

@RazorwireRPG When I first played it I got as far as speaking to Moira Brown and hit ALT-F4, the dialogue was so bad it was like every NPC was suffering some kind of head trauma, I didn't return until about a year later when I could mod the living hell out of it.

This is how dumb fandom can be. I was there when Fallout 3 came out, amongst all the shit talk and vitriol. I was on RPG Codex and No Mutants Allowed and all those other wonderful shitholes trashing Fallout 3. But time truly is a flat circle. Fallout has devolved so drastically that I now LIKE Fallout 3 despite it's narrative design. I love the exploration. I love the texture and dumb dirtiness of it all. I love the music. I love how the game FEELS. So much time has passed that all my feelings have completely turned around. Feels like some kind of fucked up Stockholm Syndrome.

@45johnferguson Yeah, the Highlands. Lifestyle was the motivating factor. I have no desire to ever live in England again. It's too flat, there's too many people, not enough wilderness, and it's full of 3rd world monkey people.

The centuries of conflict between the English, Scottish, Welsh and Irish is not a model of successful “diversity”.
It is proof of, despite our ethnic proximity and shared Christian faith, just how difficult it is for tribes to live in peace.
It was hard enough with the native populations of the British Isles. It is impossible to have a cohesive society with all the foreign colonies we have imported into our midst.
We are not at the start of this experiment. We are in the middle of it, and it is going horribly. It has to end.

@Toasterpoppin87 @Howlingmutant0 It doesn't lower testosterone. It can result in hormonal imbalances, but only in 1% to 2% of people. Also, the hormonal imbalances subside after a month of use. If you're still worried, you can monitor your testosterone levels by getting blood work done before and after.

I remember going to Scotland about a decade ago to stay with family by marriage, and as an Englishwoman (with some Irish ancestry) feeling distinctly foreign. No-one was unfriendly but I was very conscious that I was not in my home nation. I always feel like that when I’m in Scotland or Wales.
