I’m seeing, yet again, this surge of hatred for the Boomer generation. I’m a late season Boomer, born in 1961; I’ve worked for nearly 50 years, have been in the same profession for 37 years, I’ve routinely worked 45-60 hours a week. I don’t get why we are so vilified.

I’m about to get married, and my fiancé knows I have an inheritance that was left to me by my grandparents. It’s in my name only, and I’ve been saving it for years. Now he’s saying that before we get married, I should put the entire inheritance into a joint account so we can “start fresh together,” or he doesn’t think we should go through with the wedding. How pathetic many of you are with your excuses why there aren’t many English white owned shops in the cities anymore … blaming criminal activity in these shops owned by ethnic minorities…. Stop acting like white English crime wasn’t rampant in the 1900s… like white people still don’t run crime organisations and launder money through building companies set up in the east end - using shops too- just STOP IT… you are embarrassing yourselves!!!

I completely understand the frustration of British cities no longer looking “English” but can I ask why English businesses have stopped trading in these same places they complain about. I hardly see independent English/white owned fruit and vege, corner shops, butchers, restaurants etc WHY?? There are plenty of empty buildings up and down the high street- so why can’t you English pull your finger out? Can’t be bothered? Poor work ethic? If there is an empty building and no one is taking out a lease or buying it who’s English, what’s wrong with Asian, Middle Eastern businesses setting up shop It just sounds like jealousy at times. Nothing is stopping you from opening a business on a high street of your choice.

Been on a stag do in Liverpool the last few days. Offered coke in the high street in the middle of the day, saw some bloke KO a woman in a pub and another bloke fighting and swinging a bollard at bouncers before getting nicked. 10/10 experience well done to all involved
