My youngest son's girlfriend is 18. This past Saturday, she woke up with terrible pain in her eye whenever she moved it, and her vision was blurry. Her parents took her to Emergency, where they did some tests, patched her eye, gave her drops, and told her to get plenty of rest. Her pain and discomfort are getting worse daily, and she can barely see out of that eye. This morning she went back for an MRI. The doctors are almost certain she has optic neuritis, which might be caused by multiple sclerosis (she just learned of the possible MS diagnosis this morning). My son lives in Calgary, she lives in Winnipeg, and he just got home from visiting her on Saturday. He is likely flying back this weekend to spend time with her and support her. They say “life can change in the blink of an eye.” Dear God, please let this early diagnosis be wrong. If you’re the praying kind, this sweet girl needs our prayers. More info:
