@afrocosmist I expected nothing but the worst from SA--high school style drama with the most annoying characters from Discovery carried over--but it pleasantly surprised me. Unfortunately the season finale is the typical doomsday weapon/race to save Earth snorefest, but not too bad overall

Is there anything worse than a crying baby on a plane? I wish parents would control their children. It’s so disruptive. I refuse to believe a baby cries for 10 hours. At some point this is just bad parenting, right?

@meowingabyss Most baffling thing about this post isn't even the self-flaggellating, self-sacrificial attitude, it's the idea that you could wake up to play golf at 6am (if kids are still asleep). If my kids are still asleep then I'm still asleep. How the fuck would I have the energy to spare!

My super strong parenting opinion is that while the kids are awake, you come last. No spending all of Saturday golfing. That’s family time. 6 am tee time only, maybe. Wanna go to the gym? Go after the kids go to bed, or wake up at 5. In a few short years, they’ll be out of the house and you’ll have all the time in the world for your own stuff. It’s okay to come last for a while.

@HeyItsSinko64 The recovery is a total gamble too. My wife had an emergency C-section with our second, and she was completely fine 24 hours later other than a little lingering pain managed with ibuprofen. Meanwhile our friend had one planned and couldn't even get out of bed for two weeks.

I was glad I didn’t need a c-section, & I won’t judge anybody who chose to have one. Ppl talk about “horror” when it comes to pregnancy/childbirth, & for me, having someone cut into your body while awake & shift your organs to pull out a baby is the most horrifying concept of all
