I don't think I had fully appreciated how this works, but it's obvious now. NASA is aiming for a point in space where they know the moon will be. Like throwing to a receiver, but on a somewhat larger and faster scale.

Governor Ferguson will sign his party's unconstitutional income tax into law tomorrow morning, ending over a century of Washington state tradition. But why did the Governor wait until the last possible moment to sign a law which he supported so enthusiastically? It is a cynical maneuver to undermine Washingtonians who oppose this unconstitutional tax from running a voter initiative against it. Over 300,000 signatures for an initiative need to be collected by July for it to be placed on the ballot, but signatures cannot be collected against a law that doesn't exist. So by waiting to sign his new income tax the Governor is literally trying to undermine the Democratic process, making the window to collect signatures as small as possible. On a weekend when thousands of people were chanting "No Kings" perhaps it would be wiser to look at the King closer to home.

He hit the fence more than the barrier. I'm sure that after the weekend, the track will make adjustments to that area to help keep cars from popping up like that. The fence worked as designed—if it was stiff, all that energy would've been sent back to the car and driver. That fence's purpose is to absorb energy and make sure he doesn't go into the woods.

@strayts @IndyCar Quite the opposite. The fence bent and destroyed itself so the impact was smoother for Scott. Fast decceleration is the danger. The fence absorved that impact smoothly 👌👌👌

HBD, Descent! A game that started life under the Apogee umbrella, but we had to sell the rights to Interplay about a year into development simply because we couldn't afford the monthly burn the growing team required. I really hated that we didn't publish the game, but it was just impossible to fund the project properly at that time and we didn't want to just shut it down, so Interplay got a gift from heaven with the deal we offered them. And Parallax got to see their amazing game cross the finish line, which to me was the primary reason to let the game go to another publisher.
