@ZubyMusic I wish there were a better term than “followers”. It has religious connotations. Makes me uncomfortable as a follower let alone how in can affect those being followed.

I said 'millions' in the first post but really most people are not equipped to handle tens of thousands. Perhaps if the audience is limited to a tiny niche. It's a big psychological and informational burden that our ancestors didn't have to deal with.

I'd estimate that <20% of people have the temperament to handle a big social media following (high conscientiousness + low neuroticism + humility) Most will eventually be driven to insanity, depression, narcissism, or cruelty if they amass millions of followers. It's unnatural.

I’ve had to mute several accounts recently because of the violent, dark, and disturbing content they post. They do this to raise awareness & hopefully hold people accountable - and I understand and appreciate that - but I am too soft for it. I don’t want to be ignorant of evil, but I also can’t carry the burden of seeing all the world’s pain. There’s got to be a balance

Congrats to Isaac Stuckey who opened the outdoor season with a school record and national qualifying mark of 57.13 meters (187-5) in the hammer throw. Jacob Brown also qualified for nationals with a throw of 52.25 meters (171-5).

Isaac Stuckey placed 2nd and Jacob Brown 3rd in the 35 lb. weight throw at the NCCAA indoor championships. Both earn NCCAA All- American honors.
