One sin most Catholics often overlook is the sin of presumption. That is, you know something is mortal sin, however you go ahead to commit it because you know you will go to confession and get absolved of it. A very dangerous sin.

そういえば「つまらない趣味」って存在するんでしょうか。 これはちょっと聞いてみたいです。「他人から見たら絶対つまらない趣味」をお持ちの方、いらっしゃいますか？　つまらなければつまらないほど勝ち。 ちなみに私は「よく知らないマイナー駅で電車を降り、駅前をうろうろ歩き回り、その町で暮らす自分を妄想する」がありますが、基本これよりつまらなければ歓迎です。

@nitadorikei When times are stressful, I cope by baking bread every single day, at least once a day. The problem is that it really piles up and I run out of people to give it to and things to do with it. Kneading dough is just nice regardless of the end product.

For all the new converts this year, I want to give one piece of advice which I think is the only advice I would even feel comfortable giving out being such a new Catholic myself. The euphoria and zeal you are feeling right now will come to an end in some capacity. It did for me last August for a while. Many other converts expressed the same feeling. For me it was from a family tragedy, for others it is just the natural come down from the "high." At the time it felt like I was failing, but in reality it was just an opportunity for God to test my faith and whether I truly am a faithful Catholic like I now proclaim to be. In that period until now though is when I grew the most. I learned how to simplify my life and create a foundation of living the Catholic life day to day that I can now build on. This didn't happen by me trying force read tons of books, try to pray every devotion under the sun, or go to every Catholic event possible. The most important part is figuring out this next year how you're going to live your daily life as a Catholic. That's up to you, but the struggle that persists in this first year is worth the growth.

Everyone that commented and liked my post made me feel very appreciated. Thank you all! Ill tell my story of becoming catholic if anyone is interested tune in! So basically I grew up in a penecostal on one side of my family and non denominational on the other. For a while it didnt bother me until I became a teenager and I became atheist for a bit you know teenager stuff. So later down the road I find christ again. How that happened was i was really struggling for a path in life. Didnt know where I was i felt dead inside alot and I needed something spiritual. So I basically said a prayer and said god if you are real reveal yourself to me prove to me your real send a sign so I know. Next day go to work in Florida where I used to live they have those big gray cranes. And I say a very different one sitting on top of my car at work it was a white crane and a co worker got my attention and it me like a ton of bricks! I knew right then and there i had to be a Christian again. So I meet my wife and then I join the army I get out of the army we move and we get settled up there. We decided to go back to church she said she wanted to go back to mass and I started going with her family. Wasn't really sitting well with me it wasn't what I was used to so I kinda rejected and brushed off the idea of ever becoming catholic. Like I thought that would never happen. And god works in mysterious ways. So I found a non denominational went once never went back. Then I got curious started seeing stuff about Catholicism on reels and X. So I decided to do the responsible thing and researched. I didnt understand its roots. So I was listening to Nick Fuentes and he said something about the Protestant Reformation and I thought you know I've heard of it but not looked into it. So I did and it led me down a deep rabbit hole and it was a huge red pill moment for me. Looked into Church fathers, Eucharist miracles, uncorrupted saint bodies, and just all the evidence in found. I felt like I was lied to all my life. And finally I decided to call my local parish and join ocia and at the beginning of January I decided for my new years resolution I was gonna become Catholic. So here I am today baptized and confirmed into the Holy Roman Catholic Church. Thank you god for leading me to the truth and fullness of the church. And god bless my in laws for supporting me. Having good family is priceless. Having children priceless. I hope someone who is struggling to find a path sees my story for inspiration. God bless you all!. 🙏

Curious, how long was everyone’s Easter Vigil Mass? Mine was 4 hours (7:45-11:45pm) with about an hour of that being baptism and confirmation.

This will go down as an Easter Vigil for the history books. We had ~25 confirmations (10 baptisms) in a pretty small FSSP parish. It blew my mind. Seeing those entering laughing, crying, and smiling so big afterwards made me cry 🥹🥹. God is so so good. Happy Easter! He is Risen!

@Mitz_Reborn You'll love it. It's often the most moving service of the year. You don't need any preparation or to register anywhere prior. In general people will tend to dress in a more formal manner. As long as you aren't dressed like a day at the beach it should be fine. All are welcome!
