Renters just got this notice about the "Future Council Decision" for a 20-storey tower in Fairview where they live. "There will be no opportunity to speak at the Council meeting", so submit comments to Council instead. This is what the ODP looks like #vanpoli

If there is one good thing that can come out of having my health issues exposed to the world, it’s raising awareness for complex chronic conditions like POTS, MECFS, Long Covid or EDS. 🧵 businessinsider.com/what-is-pots-f…

You can’t care about public safety if you don’t care about lifeguards. Here is a 2012 story to remind Ken Sim and ABC of the community backlash when lifeguard cuts were proposed: vancouver.citynews.ca/2012/02/26/som… Ken Sim and ABC must reverse this reckless decision immediately.

The #LongCovidAwarenessDay (today) is important because in many countries and regions around the world, long COVID is not discussed and people are suffering in isolation. Awareness is needed to improve diagnosis, medical care, research, and support of patients 💙

Yet again @ianhanomansing and @checkupcbc are doing a health care privatization show framed entirely from the right. See the biased promo ⤵️ They know... they HAVE to know, that the evidence is that privatization does NOT reduce wait times for most. It lengthens them.

“There has been a societal move to go past COVID as if it’s not around anymore—but it definitely is,” McAuley said.. “And people.. will potentially have a degree of disability [to] the point where they just lose their job & no one really is addressing it.” latimes.com/science/story/…

May I remind everyone here (again, so boring, I know) that I will not be on any ballot for Vancouver city council if I don't get the nomination from OneCity. So if you want me there, join by April 10 and vote for me and whomever else you like in early May. francesbulaforcouncil.ca/?utm_source=ig…

As B.C. enters permanent daylight saving time, many States along the West Coast are thinking about doing the same. This week I laid out the case for elected officials and asked them to join us.

The fallout from what Vancouver Mayor Ken Sim is calling a mistake is quickly turning into a free fall. UBC political scientist Stewart Prest says the failure is so damaging, it calls into question whether Sim can run again. #bcpoli #vanpoli vancouver.citynews.ca/video/2026/03/…

@Josie_Osborne @alzheimerssoc Thanks for raising this. Prevention should be part of the conversation too. Emerging research suggests the shingles vaccine reduces dementia risk, yet it’s still not publicly covered in BC. Expanding coverage could help protect older adults and likely save govt money too.

Dementia affects every aspect of our health system & communities. Improving care takes applied research, education, leadership, support & listening to lived experiences. Thank you, @alzheimerssoc of BC & Yukon, for your compassion & leadership for those with & without a diagnosis

@caroltreardon He’s right, voters do forget a one off. They don’t forget, repeated lapses in judgment, a total lack of ethics or bad behavior that happens this close to Election Day.

@rastokke Another problem in BC is the lack of government funded quality resources, which often leaves us to buy material that isn’t great (or they give us digital tools without any tech to use it). We need good curriculum and quality explicit resources

Yesterday’s Vancouver Sun article was wacky. But I have 3 media interviews in BC today. So if you hear a math prof on your morning drive responding to the claim that declining math scores mean we’re doing a great job teaching math, that's me. Context 👇

#VanRE@rrrobbberttt⁩ The land the city sold for $32 million actually had a market value of $128 million on the day of the sale, as by BC Assessment’s valuation, an independent appraisal and the $100-million mortgages Westbank immediately obtained. share.google/gYOFW3V5vEvI0n…
