Thousands of doctors who have already cleared one of India's toughest examinations remain trapped in uncertainty. Their careers, training, financial planning, and personal lives have been put on hold because of prolonged delays in completing the counselling process. Every vacant superspeciality seat means one less neurosurgeon, cardiologist, oncologist, or gastroenterologist in training. At a time when India continues to face shortages of superspecialists, delaying admissions serves no public interest. Most candidates are not asking for special treatment. They are asking for transparency, timely communication, and completion of a counselling process that began months ago. Medical education functions on fixed academic timelines. Every unnecessary delay reduces training opportunities and ultimately affects patient care. We respectfully urge the Government of India, DGHS, MCC, and NMC to resolve all pending issues and resume NEET-SS counselling at the earliest. Surviving the counselling is the real super-speciality. The exam finished months ago. My rank came. My documents came. My joining letter came. But counselling? Even God has stopped asking. --- Every morning I wake up. First thing... Not brush. Not breakfast. I check MCC. Refresh... Refresh... Refresh... At this point I know the website layout better than my own anatomy. Chrome asks, "Restore previous tabs?" Brother... restore my future first. --- Family members have stopped asking, "Beta, result kaisa hua?" Now they ask, "Counselling shuru hui?" Even relatives have given up. One uncle called and said, "Congratulations..." I said, "Seat mil gayi?" He said, "Nahi... birthday wish kar raha tha." --- The funniest part? People think doctors have stable lives. Stable? Our entire future depends on one PDF uploaded at 6:47 PM. One PDF... Thousands of careers. --- We've become professional detectives. One person analyses Supreme Court orders. Another tracks judges' vacations. Someone monitors every DGHS tweet. Another refreshes MCC every 10 minutes. Forget doctors... We've become lawyers, journalists and IT professionals—all for free. --- And then comes the classic line... "Please be patient." Brother... We've already completed MBBS... Internship... MS... NEET-SS... If patience had a degree, I'd already be Professor of Patience. --- But then... The jokes stop being funny. Because somewhere... Someone has taken a loan for coaching. Someone has shifted cities. Someone has postponed marriage. Someone's parents keep asking, "Kab settle hoga?" And none of us has an answer. Not because we failed. But because we're still waiting. --- People call us doctors. But today... Thousands of doctors are waiting for treatment too. Not medical treatment. A treatment called... Decision. Sometimes all people need is clarity. Even if the answer is "No." Silence hurts more. --- So today I don't want sympathy. I just want accountability.
