as a builder id say its easier to build with the trend not against it
in crypto success is often about being in the right place at the right time
if you follow a trend at least youre at the right time
but you still need to be careful
too early no one cares
too late its already crowded
weve seen this many times
nfts had their moment early builders won late ones came when attention and money were already going down
memecoins were the same fast growth a lot of hype, a lot of rugs, and a lot of money made
now we have the perp meta
at first it looks similar points farming rewards
and yes this part will probably end like always
but this time is a bit different
weak products will lose users when rewards are gone
strong products will keep them
so its not only about catching the trend
its about building something that still works after the trend is over

🚨 CRITICAL: Active supply chain attack on axios -- one of npm's most depended-on packages. The latest axios@1.14.1 now pulls in plain-crypto-js@4.2.1, a package that did not exist before today. This is a live compromise. This is textbook supply chain installer malware. axios has 100M+ weekly downloads. Every npm install pulling the latest version is potentially compromised right now. Socket AI analysis confirms this is malware. plain-crypto-js is an obfuscated dropper/loader that: • Deobfuscates embedded payloads and operational strings at runtime • Dynamically loads fs, os, and execSync to evade static analysis • Executes decoded shell commands • Stages and copies payload files into OS temp and Windows ProgramData directories • Deletes and renames artifacts post-execution to destroy forensic evidence If you use axios, pin your version immediately and audit your lockfiles. Do not upgrade.

hackathons are still the best way to start as a builder
you dont need crazy funding big team or perfect product
i know what im talking about i won one of the early solana hackathons and thats exactly how i started building my own project
back then it was hard barely any opportunities
today, the barrier to entry is much lower you have way more chances to get started
accelerators like @Colosseum are doing a great job supporting builders.
if you win you can actually get funding and start shipping for real
if i was starting from zero today i would jump in without thinking twice

We did it guys! 10K upvotes on $GSD @BagsHackathon for simply posting shit "updates" via a shell script.
We couldn't have done it without such high signal community updates as the "The Alphabet (letter by letter - on loop), the lyrics to "Barbie Girl", "Friday" and "Wannabe" and other great hits that came up when I searched for most annoying songs of all time.
