This OBI behave like a coward, and if he ever becomes president, he may struggle with serious challenges and avoid responsibility, just as he has done in the past. Some of his actions is disgraceful how can you not understand the situation before judgment someone criticizes as unruly and not in line with the nation’s constitutional laws you said is okay
English

This country can be very sentimental and often driven by negativity. When Peter Obi felt he was defamed by Kenneth Okonkwo, he responded through legal channels by demanding a retraction, an apology, and threatening a ₦5 billion defamation suit. Yet when similar situations involve others, many people and OBI quick suddenly change their standards. The law should apply fairly to everyone, regardless of political affiliation or personal preference.
Government officials, not Tinubu himself, initiated the case against Sowore over his statement. Reports indicate that a retraction was sought, but instead of withdrawing the statement, Sowore maintained that he could prove his claims in court and chose to defend them through the legal process.
Many people today use negativity and controversy to gain attention instead of focusing on truth. It’s disappointing how some so called content-creator-activists act like they are fighting for the people, but often have personal agendas. Instead of hypocrisy and emotional bias, we need honesty, balance, and integrity in how issues are discussed, especially for the sake of future generations.
Sowore too he wants to become president, yet instead of presenting a clear vision and practical solutions, he often seems focused on controversy and staying in the spotlight. There appears to be little diplomacy in the way he expresses himself, and many of his claims are seen by critics as lacking evidence. As a father, husband, and public figure, many would expect more empathy, responsibility, and leadership rather than constant political drama and attention seeking. SMH 🤦♂️

RE: 'REMAND' OF OMOYELE SOWORE
The Department of State Services (DSS) has noted concerns of some citizens over events at a Federal High Court in Abuja on 22nd June 2026, leading to the remand of Omoyele Sowore in Kuje Prison. Of more concern, is the scene depicting Sowore's altercation with an official of Custodial Center and a seeming scuffle with operatives of the Service. Although at the end of the saga, he curiously opted for a DSS vehicle instead of that of the Correctional Service, the Director General has ordered an immediate investigation into the alleged conduct of Service operatives involved in the incident. Notwithstanding, it is expedient to set the records straight.
On 25th August 2025, Omoyele Sowore, made a post on his personal X and Facebook handles, wherein he stated "this criminal actually went to Brazil to state that there is NO MORE CORRUPTION in Nigeria. What audacity to lie shamelessly." Thus, disparaging President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR and embelishing his statement. Rather than resort to arrest, the Service, in a letter dated 4th September, 2025 demanded a retraction within one week. This is in line with the practice of the current DG-DSS to resolve such issues without use of force, failure to which it may resort to judicial interpretation.
Specifically, in the case of Prof. Pat Utomi's Shadow Government, the Service sought a judicial explanation even without any arrest or invitation. The Federal High Court thereafter declared the Shadow Government unconstitutional. Also, the false publications on Lagos State House of Assembly invasion by Service operatives and a similar report by Order Paper, alleging a barricade of the National Assembly Complex, the Service demanded a public apology rather than apprehend anyone in both instances. It is on record that, DSS withdrew all charges immediately after the defaulting media houses made a redress.
In the same vein, two Service operatives sought judicial redress and won their cases against SERAP for defamation and libel on their false alarm of an invasion by the said operatives. In this case also, the Court delivered judgment in favour of the said operatives. In all these, the Service maintained its hygiene and adherence to rule of law.
Therefore, in line with SSS Instrument No. 1 of 1999, made pursuant to NSA Act of 1986, the Service filed charges against Sowore for contravening section 24 of the Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention etc) Amendment Act, 2024 in a suit FHC/ABJ/CR/481/2025 seeking a judicial interpretation of his right or otherwise to disparage and cyberbully the President. The public may wish to note that, Sowore was granted bail on self-recognition even without a surety at the commemcement of the trial, a position the Service did not oppose and even Sowore applauded the development.
From the foregoing, it is clear the issues that led to his bail revocation and subsequent remand were entirely premised on the court processes, as the Service neither arrested nor opposed his bail. DSS therefore assures of sustained priority to professionalism, with emphasis on civility in its operations, even at the face of provocation.

To let you understand the situation let’s forget politics or hates. Sowore case is different they didn’t come for him he went for them and to let you know, allegedly he is facing prosecution by the dss and and NPF over cybercrime, treasonable felony, and inciting public disturbance stemming from his activism, protests, and social media posts criticizing the Nigerian government.
Sowore has publicly maintained that he can justify or defend his statement, and the court has ordered him to open his defence in the case.
However, whether he has already presented sufficient proof in court is a different question. The prosecution has presented its own evidence, and the judge ruled that there was a case for Sowore to answer, which is why he was ordered to begin his defence and he failed to appear in court for a scheduled hearing.

@ruffydfire To me, all these political fights look like drama. Nigerians want solutions, not endless controversies and media attention like drama queens 😆

Whenever Peter Obi sees an opportunity to be in the spotlight, it often appears that he prefers to draw attention through criticism of Tinubu 😆
Rather than focusing on his own agenda.
In my view, opposition politics is important, but it should be based on facts, honesty, and constructive alternatives not behavior like empty brain leaders

SOWORE BEING SENT TO PRISON: A DANGEROUS REGRESSION FOR OUR DEMOCRACY
I have received, with deep concern, the news of the court’s remand of citizen activist Omoyele Sowore in Kuje Prison.
While the judiciary remains the ultimate arbiter of justice, we must consistently guard against any trend that gives the appearance of state institutions being weaponised to systematically stifle dissent, muzzle the press, or shrink the legitimate space for civic engagement in Nigeria.
A thriving democracy does not survive on the silencing of opposing voices; rather, it is anchored on the robust protection of fundamental human rights, most notably the freedoms of expression and peaceful assembly, as enshrined in our Constitution. Moreover, our society is already strained by insecurity and biting economic hardship; therefore, deliberate steps should be taken, even by the courts, to avoid inflaming the situation.
When we begin to treat citizen critics, activists, and journalists as threats to state survival rather than as partners in building accountability, we signal a dangerous slide toward authoritarianism. Our current challenges, ranging from economic strain to internal security vulnerabilities, require inclusive dialogue and cohesive nation-building, not the incarceration of those who demand a better society.
I urge the relevant authorities to ensure that the rule of law is strictly adhered to, that Mr. Sowore’s constitutional rights are fully protected, and that our security and judicial institutions are used solely for the impartial administration of justice. We cannot build a New Nigeria if we continue to undermine the very democratic structures meant to protect us all. -PO

My concern is that some people continue to use these incidents to fuel tribal tensions rather than promote understanding. Instead of constantly dividing Nigerians along ethnic lines, why don’t we focus on how to unite and make the nation greater?
Too often, discussions begin with ethnic labels instead of facts and solutions. Nigeria’s challenges will not be solved by tribal accusations, insults, or stereotypes. They will be solved when we focus on unity, accountability, development, and respect for one another as Nigerians.

The issue is, many of them failed to register when they were asked to......registration for repatriation to Nigeria was directly handled by the Foreign Affairs Minister, Dame Bianca Ojukwu BUT na Tinubu this Igbo f00l dey call.
The honest truth is that, no country owes you free repatriation.
An average Igbo man always feeling entitled!
English

This is a major and well-deserved opportunity for @TheRatelNation to focus on an issue that truly matters. This is a serious corruption discussion that deserves urgent attention and public awareness. Nigerians need answers, accountability, and action on this matter and in a understanding manner with diplomacy speech that will wake the president up to attend to the crisis

Now that it is the Hausa turn, I expect him to construct his statements in a peaceful and responsible manner that gives hope for a united Nigeria. Constant tribal based criticism and division do not help the country move forward.
Nigerians want leaders whose words promote peace, unity, and understanding among all ethnic groups. A true leader brings people together, inspires hope, and focuses on solutions rather than deepening divisions. Leadership is not just about speaking; it is about giving every Nigerian confidence in a better and more united future.
English

🤦♂️ 😆 To many people, this was not rigging but a free and fair election decided by voters willing. But you can force there figures on it. Yet some still attack other tribes and blame them for everything. After the 2023 election, Peter Obi believed he won the elections his own people rigged and continued to challenge the result that all can see that’s it’s wrongly. At some point, when the legal process is over, leaders and supporters alike must accept the outcome and focus on moving the country forward.
Unity is one of the keys to progress. When we stand together as one nation, we can build a better tomorrow and achieve the vision of a stronger and more prosperous future.

Yes, I agree. In my opinion, one of the major achievements was making efforts to clear debts that had burdened the country for years. Nigeria has relied on loans and financial support from international institutions for decades, and many administrations struggled to reduce that dependence.
Despite the economic challenges inherited over the years, as well as the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and its financial consequences, this administration has taken steps that supporters believe will strengthen the country’s long-term economic stability.
While the reforms have been difficult and have brought short-term hardship for many citizens, some people believe these decisions are necessary to create a stronger foundation for future growth and prosperity. The real measure of success will be whether these policies eventually lead to improved living standards, job creation, and greater economic opportunities for Nigerians.

It looks like you want your statement rewritten more clearly. Here’s a polished version that keeps your argument intact:
Can you honestly see yourself as someone who truly wants positive change in the country?
Since the days of MKO Abiola and the military era, Nigerians have always demanded good leadership, accountability, and qualified people in government. For decades, many leaders got into power only to leave the economy weaker and insecurity worse.
Today, if some people believe the economy is beginning to stabilize, why can’t we be patient and hopeful that the security situation will also improve with time? Reports show that the police and military are actively focusing on tackling insecurity.
Instead, some people seem more interested in chasing engagement, controversy, and social media attention. They make negative comments, and others follow those words without thinking critically.
Before posting such statements, read them carefully and reflect on them. Ask yourself whether your words are helping to build the nation or simply spreading more frustration and division. Nigeria’s challenges are real, but progress requires patience, constructive criticism, and a willingness to support solutions, not just amplify problems.
You better wake up!!!

You people talk as if only one group is affected, without considering that every Nigerian is involved in this situation. During the period after the annulment of the MKO election and the military era, many people supported the PDP and voted for Olusegun Obasanjo as the candidate who was supposed to help unite the country and ease the tension across regions.
Yet, after coming into power, many Nigerians became disappointed with some of the policies, violence, and tragedies that occurred during his administration. People are often quick to forget past pains and mistakes, but they are equally quick to start calling for revolution again.
The question is: how many revolutions do we want before we finally learn to come together as Nigerians and stand as one people? Instead of constantly dividing ourselves and repeating the same cycles, shouldn’t we focus on building a stronger and more united nation?
Historically won’t forget wake up!!!

This is how they sell they sell the name America to abroad like what the propaganda they have been pushing…. The moment a simple conversation starts, they quickly turn it into a story about tribalism and propaganda. It’s sad to see how much they have damaged their own mandate, yet they still come online every day cursing, insulting, and blaming others instead of promoting unity and constructive dialogue.
