I’ve never experienced anything like what happened with the crowd at Renee in Manchester tonight. Something NEEDS to shift with gig culture, because the rise in overnight camping for queues in recent years is definitely impacting how young people look after themselves at gigs.

@ellieokwilson How do we fix a system that was made by men essentially to protect men? Especially when so few cases even get to court, let alone a guilty verdict. Yet another abuser got a not guilty verdict in Glasgow while victim has to live with this the rest of her life.

While I welcome this long overdue step forward, it’s important to remember that in Scotland rapists can be considered for parole after only serving half their sentence. So that 5 year minimum, can actually quickly become a 2.5 year minimum. Hardly justice.
