Filling out apartment paperwork today(yes, it is almost a week past my move in date. yes, I’m pissed about it) and debating if I should throw a house warming party with my friends. I wanted to have my friends all do the 5/10min painting challenge to help me decorate 1-on-1 but I think it would be way more fun if a bunch of my friends all got together and we all painted together. Most of my friends haven’t met each other but I’m almost certain they would love each other but I’m also full of social anxiety; it would be my first time hosting a party

@slutriarch @mymorningjackd @DougJBalloon This statement has pro-war optics. If I am a low-engagement anti-war voter choosing between this and the "peace president" rhetoric Trump deployed, how else am I supposed to read this? Just say you're opposed to foreign wars!

one of the more deranged things i do: because many mtg card names share words, on scryfall i instead type the last few letters of one word and the first few letters of the next word to more efficiently find the card i'm looking for
e.g. for "lightning bolt" i type "ningbo"

@zdch doesn't seem so, given that "but also" is putting "dems should focus less on pronouns" in opposition with "newsom specifically is untrustworthy." those two things seem to be in alignment to me in this case! he's talking about pronouns because he doesn't want to tax billionaires

I think Newsom specifically is untrustworthy, but also hot take I’d like Dems to focus less on pronouns. Telling people to do pronoun circles doesn’t materially help trans people but it negatively polarizes people against us (seen as HR scolds), making us worse off

Last night, Stephen Colbert interviewed Democratic Texas Senate candidate James Talarico, a candidate who, by all accounts, is on track in the polls to flip Texas blue.
In response, Trump’s FCC reportedly threatened CBS if the interview aired.
CBS caved and pulled the segment, citing “financial reasons.”
