Deep in geopolitics. America isn’t just the greatest nation on Earth, it’s the last, best hope for humanity.

Yes, everything he said, as he phrased it, was false. Let’s go one by one:
1. “could only fill”: assumes the plan was to fill the whole stadium (where clearly half the seating on the floor is removed) and many other assumptions with this statement. Thesr aren’t facts, but opinions.
2. “Nobody likes MAGA anymore and that’s a beatiful thing”: again pure speculation and statement of opinion. It also falsely assumes that filling the stadium is a reliable indicator of MAGA support.
So because he didn’t provide any facts, and simply wanted to express his opinions, I decided to expose his opinions in general, specifically his opinions about a sexual predator.

If you must know, I’ll tell you.
1. Why is the straight closed? At first, it was insurance, then Iranian threats without physical blockade (so like drones, rockets from inside Iran). RIGHT NOW: the straight is closed only to Iranians, but open for everyone else.
2. Why negotiate? Why not?
3. Why is Iran wealthier than before? 🤣🤣🤣
4. Chinese/Russian assistance? Sure, this is true, but not anymore because of sanctions threat.
4.1. What does that mean? It means Russia and China are trying to help a losing party in a conflict.
5. Would Vance negotiate if opposition had nothing else? Yes, we don’t want leaderless fanatics and chaos in the streets of Iran, we want an orderly Iranian surrender without total internal anarchy.
6. It’s not about human life / easter post. This wasn’t a question and your statement makes no sense.
English

@urgentintel @avidseries Why is the strait closed. Why negotiate? Why is Iran wealthier than before? Is Iran in a vacuum? Are the Chinese + Russians assisting? What does that mean? Would Vance negotiate if opposition had “nothing else?” It’s not about human life. Easter post showed that’s not a concern

The trolling campaign of Iranian embassies around the world has really been something.

@ConceptualJames @iranidaturan What about those of us who support or oppose Israel on specific actions as opposed to blanket support or opposition? For example, I support Israel joining the USA’s attacks against Iran, but there’s bunch of other actions of Israel I don’t support.
English

@chic_patriot @FoxNews Why didn’t they do something about in 2018? Was he immune before his party abandoned him?
English

@FoxNews swalwell's always so quick to call out others on sexual misconduct, wonder if he'll get the same treatment or if it'll be swept under the rug
English

@avidseries @Noahpinion Yeah we should invest more in blue-collar job training, certificates, apprenticeship, etc.
English

@Noahpinion Fewer less-capable people going to college would be a good thing, and we should do whatever we can to encourage this.
Less-selective liberal arts colleges serve little purpose, and hopefully most will soon cease operation.
English

College enrollment is falling in America. It's not just the fact that we have fewer young people. In 2016, 70% of American high school grads went to college; by 2022, it was only 62%.
The higher education sector is in big trouble.

@ZaidJilani Did you want him to send you a calendar invite for end-of-war party for an ongoing conflict?
English

@avidseries @DiplodocusTheG Yeah but it’s the Iranian Embassy, not Tajikstan. So there really was no valid point being made.
English

@daniellepena @RealCandaceO I’m sorry is the Secret Service providing her protection to and from the event?
English

Maybe because if she isn’t safe at an event she’s co hosting with the Vice President of the United States, backed by the full force of the United States Secret Service, including advance teams, counterassault units, snipers, intelligence, and surveillance, plus two dedicated ambulances flown in wherever he goes because apparently any old ambulance won’t do, then she should probably change her name and go into witness protection, because she isn’t safe anywhere.
English

@propublica Yea so basically almost the same as the national average for any other type of arrest or case. How is this news?
Grok@grok
On average in the U.S., prosecutors decline to file charges in ~28% of referred cases (per a multi-jurisdiction study by Prosecutorial Performance Indicators). Of filed cases, they dismiss another ~28%. Federal cases are more selective upfront, with post-filing dismissals around 8% (Pew Research, FY2022 data) and overall conviction rates exceeding 90% of those charged. Rates vary widely by jurisdiction, offense, and evidence quality—e.g., 4-67% declination in local offices.
English

In more than a third of the cases reviewed by ProPublica and FRONTLINE, prosecutors quickly dismissed charges that couldn’t be substantiated, refused to file charges at all, or lost at trial.
There will likely be more outcomes like these. propublica.org/article/caught…
English

@propublica @grok, on average what percentage of charges get dismissed by prosecutors or prosecutors refuse to file?
English

@ForeignPolicy So they’re holding meetings about releasing statements condemning actions?

@Reuters Wtf? Ramos is not a human rights activist, he’s a paid CDN propagandist on the cartel payroll. Do some basic research 🤦♂️
English

@sarahadams Their main argument is that if it was safe enough for the VP then it was definitely safe enough for her. But the VP isn’t going to give her protection to and from the event, nor is the Secret Service obligated to do that. Someone could literally stalk her after the event.
English

As someone who lives with constant threats and even terrorist bounties, I’ve had to turn down plenty of events and speaking engagements because I don’t have confidence I can stay adequately protected. People have every right to make decisions about their own safety without being judged by those who have never lived under that kind of pressure.
We’re in a time where everyone has an opinion, but very few show real empathy or understanding. The reality is, you don’t have to be the President of the United States for someone to take a shot at you. Situations like this deserve more grace.
If the roles were reversed, most people would prioritize their own safety, haters be damned. So just be decent human beings. No one should be pressured to go in harm’s way if it feels off to them.
